Like many, l have followed this case with interest for years.
From what has been disclosed, it seems unlikely the killer is anyone other than one or more of the 3 men who visited Julie that night.
My theory, for what it is worth, is that the most likely offender is the since departed John...
One the 3 men who visited Julie that night, the reporter, John Grant, was thought by many, for decades, to have been Julie's killer.
Ironically, or otherwise, Grant was also in the near vicinity the night of the Easey Street murders. The recent arrest in Italy in relation to the Easey Street...
Such a terrible scenario for the Maye family.
- Daughter Nianh missing for 22 years, presumed dead.
- Key suspect - Jason “Jack” Nicklason - long dead as well.
- '3rd wheel' in the story, though not a suspect, Garth Gemmell, also dead.
- Very little clue as to where Nianh's body might be...
The more we subsequently find out about Jason “Jack” Nicklason, the more he firms as Niamh's likely killer. He was a career criminal, a longtime sexual predator and offender and his strange behavior after Niamh''s disappearance raised red flag after red flag. At 30 plus, Nicklason's fixation on...
Having now listened to most of the podcast and taking into account his pattern of very strange behavior after Niamh disappeared, it is hard to look past Nicklason as the major suspect. What a pity he isn't around to answer to the crime.
'The Australian' are taking an inordinately long time to upload Episodes 11 and 12 of 'Bronwyn'. They were released to subscribers about 3 weeks ago?
Perhaps they are going cut off supply in the hope of forcing people to subscribe?
Have listened to about half the 'Casefile' episodes and it is a tragic but fascinating case.
I found it absolutely chilling when it was revealed at only 18, she was left for her final few days, alone and without any means of transport or communication.
Strongly recommend the 'Casefile' podcast...
I'm continually surprised how much Sly and Andrew Rule actually know.
Rule, in particular, often waits until someone passes away before he shares what he knows about them and it is often information well beyond anything made public previously.
I can't think of any particular occasion where...
For all the details, we may have to wait for a book? As was the case with the Daniel Morcombe sting.
That book, aptly titled 'The Sting', is a great read incidentally.
Yep, I was only attempting a bit of satire (or something) back there. I know the police via undercover operatives etc pull some very clever stunts to get what they need.
My mother years ago worked for a private investigation company and some of the ingenious stunts they pulled made for great...
There seem to be conflicting reasons for why the accused left Australia, depending on who you ask.
I'm sure I've already read one of his associates claim he 'left to look after his sick mother in Greece.' Now it was for 'professional reasons, work-related reasons'. Professional reasons, when...
