I find it frustrating that criminals may be shown some leniency if they "dob" in their mates. Where it is known that people are withholding evidence, they should get there sentence for their part in the crime plus extra time for withholding information. Time to stop looking after the criminals...

I would even go so far as to say, like the gbc forum, we might have a Thorburn supporter here with us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I agree that the majority of children are far more sexualised and aware than we were years ago. Everything they watch and listen to is sexualised in some way. Advertising "sex sells". I noticed a huge difference in the Facebook posts of my child's friends from grade 7 (primary school) to grade...

It appears the Thorburn family took lessons from GBC. The dumping of the body in or beside water so that decomposition could hinder findings, and also business as usual. Life goes and we tarnish Tiahleigh's memory whenever possible. It didn't work for GBC so why would they think it would work...

If the lawyer is as good as her bio makes her sound, the family chose very well. If Rick Thorburn said he murdered Tiahleigh to protect his son, no amount of great solicitors can get him off that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I honestly don't know what the solution is other than a lot more communication is needed. It's interesting to hear your point of view because you have had experience in this field. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It is not being treated as a joke. No one on this thread thinks or treats Tiahleigh's death as a joke. I think we all feel a need for lighthearted comments at the foster families expense because we are so angry and disgusted and need an "upper" at times because this subject is so so negative and...

Yes and unfortunately if he isn't kept safe in protective custody the chances of him getting bail may increase. IMOO I think if he does get bail he would either abscond or commit suicide. I don't want either to happen because that is not paying the price for what he and his wicked family did to...

So both Rick and Trent are now in protective custody. If only Tiahleigh had been put in protective custody. It really annoys me that prisoners get better protection than the victims Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

John, I do agree with you. I also think as a caseworker your number one duty is to the child you are supposed to be supporting. Follow up on reports. There is no point in doing the job at all if you are not following up, whether you think it is a waste of time or not. Better to help one properly...

I hope what happened to the Brett Cowan and all the other horror stories you hear happen to pedos in jail is swimming round in their sick little minds right now. Jail life must be petrifying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, but aren't they talking through lawyers. I want to see them talking under pressure in court. As previously mentioned, that could be a whole different ball game. Let's hope they do a GBC and really dig themselves a big hole that they can't get out of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
