Was there any info on whether or not EG was wearing shoes when she went to the neighbors on the day she reported him missing asking them if they had seen her little boy and telling them to call 911? Maybe she thought it would look better if she was barefoot. As if she just dropped everything...

Maybe she knew the landlord would be there around this time and she left to avoid him because she owed money she didn't have. She didn't take Lucas because he was sick and told him to stay in his room and stay quiet, and if the landlord saw him and did call EG, this could be why she was angry...

On the zillow link for the house it says "Price includes the home (1056 SF plus the unfin. bsmt) and a cottage (672 SF). Home has been rented before for $1400 and the cottage is NOW rented for $800" So does that mean someone is currently renting the cottage or is this an old listing?
