The "relief" i initially felt of an arrest has been replaced with even more sadness & anger than i initially felt, as we become aware of the details of what she endured. My heart hurts :(

I wondered at first if the arm & the Bay Shore body were even connected - why would LE mention that Bay Shore body was missing part of the legs, but not mention the arm being missing?? Although the theory regarding the tattoos above makes sense.

I thought the same thing.. such vague information - just a partially dismembered female body. There've been no updates throughout the day (and Newsday closed the comment section to the article which has been posted here already).

This is just crazy. Too many unsolved homicides in the last month alone and now this. Trying to have faith in SCPD - but this is scary.

interesting theory - while i'm not familiar with forensics, i imagine the DNA aspect makes a lot of sense and could make the investigation more difficult.

Yes - I thought of that case as well! Did they ever release a cause of death in that case? I remember thinking at the time based on the news reports & interviews with her current husband that he was somehow involved - yet there, like here, nothing ever was made of it. This is an aside, but...
