You're a kind person, and thank you :) We need to get this thread back on topic! I'm really not comfortable speculating about people, circumstances, etc, but does anyone have any ideas about when this case might come to trial? I guess 1 September is way too early? I think it took about a...

I realise that, but relationships within families can be so strange. Look at Mikaeel Kular, murdered by his mother who loved all her other children dearly; even she couldn't understand why she hated only one of her children...

Perhaps he had some kind of civilian post working for the army at some point, his profile didn't specify he was a soldier (I agree it could be implied).

The number of men is likely to be much higher because men are far less likely to report abuse because of these attitudes that only women can be victims, and women can only be victims.

This is the first case I've followed on here that could be nearing a conclusion, so I'd like to ask: There's a possibility there could be charges this afternoon. What happens to this discussion if that happens? I assume it has to be locked until the trial and official updates posted without...

They've been pointing the finger at him since day one, it's despicable. He's only a child himself.

To be pedantic, the text pictured doesn't say that those are the people arrested, just that the woman is the person who lives in one of the houses being searched (presumably CML) and who her boyfriend is. The implication is obvious, but...

That might explain the focus on the house and the confusion over who saw her last and if anyone saw her leave.

Some people are undoubtedly trolling, but I think a lot of people genuinely believe that the arrests for murder mean that a body must have been found, and their assumptions are getting passed on as fact in good faith.

I was thinking that the opposite situation could be a reason why they've spent so much time doing forensic work at the family home - it seems to back onto allotments which could make it a lot easier for non-family to get access to the garden and even house. There has to be some reason why...
