I totally agree, I think she used inheritance money from her father to fund her transformation. I don't know if I am way off base, but I think the father died 9/15/84 and she came into the inheritance when she turned 18.

Thanks that's a great document! If both CA. and WA. were open states in 1988 and only the CA. birth certificate was used fraudulently, it points to LEK getting the certificate on her own. If an identity broker came across all three deaths from the newspaper article and both states were open...

I am hoping Linda D. will respond to give us insight on how records were processed in 1988. If she doesn't contact us, do we have anyone local to Bakersfield who can visit the courthouse and track down someone who worked there in 1988? These are my questions for that person: What type of...

The only Billings in my notes is place, not a name. Becky Sue's great-grandmother was from Billings, MT.

My contact thought it was odd for the records office to have a copy of the bypass trust. She said the document would be filed with probate if the person is deceased, if the person is still alive it is filed with the recorder. We really need someone familiar with the CA. legal system to answer...

The credit goes to you and Sunnynz. Thanks to Sunnnz for posting the receipt and to you for noticing the $4 charge on the receipt is more than likely for a separate bypass trust document.

This is a great question. One answer could be the lawyer made a copy of the receipt for the other party and the original was attached to the birth certificate.

That's my assumption. He called in on Friday and drove to Bakersfield on Monday to pick up both documents.

Update. When I told her the record was from 1988 she said they didn't have to record two revenue streams in the 1980's for the copy and the certification. She said it looked like code for birth certificate copy and bypass trust. An attorney could also pick up both documents.

My Clerk of Courts contact said the $7 charge is for the copy and $4 is the certification charge. It's always listed as two items.

I spoke to someone who has worked for the Clerk of Courts since the 1970’s and she shared a lot of information about the process of obtaining a birth certificate. She never worked in CA. and stated that the process varies from state to state, but these are the general guidelines. The requester...

Exactly, it couldn't have been discovered by someone walking through the graveyard. I never noticed the newspaper article lists Becky Sue twice either. I was so focused on Becky Sue that I didn't pay attention to the other girls. Also, Frances is spelled Francis in the article, Francise on the...

I was thinking about the theory that Lori was walking through a cemetery and came across Becky Sue’s grave. All three daughters that perished in the fire are listed on the same headstone; Becky Sue 68-71, Kay Francise 69-71 and Ann Marie 63-71. If Lori was older than her stated age, why didn’t...

I found a his business addresses, a few run down homes and apartments (maybe rentals?) and a home valued at over $1 million pre-2007. This is a pretty nice home for a disbarred bankruptcy attorney. 3832 Mount Vernon Dr, Los Angeles California 90008-4812, USA Here is the full list. 1860 W...

I agree. I think Perkins was very shady from the posts you and others have provided. Why would a shady lawyer work in the Good Shepherd Paralegal Clinic? One theory is that Perkins was the identity broker and found women who needed to start over at the clinic and placed them in jobs that would...

There are two parties in mail fraud, the sender and the receiver. You would think the USPS would investigate to see who she was mailing.
