I've shared the FBI/Boston Police info with a Jamaican community organizer with strong ties back to the island. She says that nobody recognizes these boys but that someone would be missing them, given their hairstyles, clothing. She feels they were well cared for. One possibility is that after...

Looking at the location the body was dumped, I wonder if she was missing from a neighboring state, AL, or, more likely, LA, and that is why she was never connected to a missing person at the time. Middle-aged and seemingly employed, somebody had to be missing her. My gut says she's more local...

Just want to pipe up and warn everyone not to put too much stock in the ladies underwear as a clue. There are a couple of different reasons he might have been wearing them but in 1987 the typical person would have been in the closet about all of them. It's likely that first degree family members...

Interesting. I know LE prefers to be in control over which details get released to the public and which don't because recognizing details is one way that they validate or reject tips. Sometimes just about everything will be put out there by LE but in other cases they will only dole out very...

I can recall in the very early 1990s the absolute coolest thing to have were acid washed denim jeans, preferably with patches. GAP had a big comeback as well. They were a sort of even light blue although you could get black jeans as well. Would "dorky" dark blue Levis imply something about the...

I do not think it likely this woman was homeless. The clothing can be easily explained. I grew up in New England. It is very common to buy and sell lightly used clothes at tag/yard/garage sales and in church basements (rummage/jumble sales). It is also common for acquaintances to GIVE piles of...

I like Tracy Byrd as well. Compare her to the new reconstruction in NAMUS. The UID is likely to have had a protruding nose, as Tracy Byrd does. Discrepancies noted: Byrd has what appears to be a slightly cleft chin. This does not appear on any UID reconstructions. Byrd's eyes appear to be set...

The shape around the eyes and nose are remarkably similar-good catch. I think Tracey's jaw is squarer and the timeline is of course impossible. Something was bothering me about Carl's reconstruction and I think it was the (accurate) deathly pallor of Jane Doe. I think Tracey's bright-skinned...

Another possibility: Van Nguyen. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/10840/1/ I think that her jaw is too narrow compared to the sketch, assuming the sketch artist was accurate. Otherwise it's a very close match visually and her ht/wt/est. age are very close as well. What do other sleuthers...

Wow, Grace Gdadamosi bears a remarkable resemblance to the sketch of our UID. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/11475/4/ I overlaid them and the main difference is the location and shape of mouth/lips. Is this dispositive? I realize that a competent anthropologist should be able to...

Unless the circumstances given for Cruz are a total mistake, she was at work, working the day she disappeared. She went missing a year subsequent to the discovery of skeletonized remains so there is at least a two year discrepancy. In addition, Cruz went missing in the summer and was wearing...

I've noticed that the UID and Beshears both have DNA in the system but if I had to guess they got mtDNA from the skeletal remains and nuclear DNA from one of Beshears' children. I will check with LE in a few weeks to see if they can rule Beshears out.

*bumping* Has anybody tried to share this story with West Indians on social media? It's always possible that their parents live in the Caribbean. Also, do they know they are Jamaican or is that just an assumption? There are lots of Islands and usually those of us who dwell on the mainland are...

Okay, I have emailed the NJ State Police and I left a message for Mt Laurel Township. I have requested contact back so I will wait a few days and see what turns up. Should I contact the police in Alabama as well?

Wow, this could be nothing, but... Chin Suk Kim Beshears is wearing a leopard skin shirt in her photo. Her height and weight match the UID. She is older than the estimated age of the UID but I have no idea how they come about an estimate of 25-35 years, exactly, from skeletal remains. That...

NAMUS lists one ruleout: Michelle Lokker I wonder if the other possibles have been submitted? It is said that she was found in a wooded area off of Fellowship Rd in NJ by Malibu Grand Prix. I took that to Google Maps Streetview. The road is close to I-295 and today (2015) is quite built...

This case is really bothering me. Just going by height, weight, age, and composite, I am building a picture of a Taiwanese-American college student with either a visa or a green card attending college in Georgia, possibly state school or community college with hopes of transferring to a better...

This could be an artifact of how the computer composite was created, but she looks like a dead ringer for a Chinese friend of mine in high school. There's a blog post called "Average faces of nationalities" that displays composited faces and the Taiwanese face looks the closest. (Go ahead and...

I think Nori Jenkins looks remarkably like the UID, even though the items don't seem to match. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/3045dfks.html There are very few Asians listed missing in the 1980s and even fewer of Chinese nationality.
