Hot pink plates for busted drunk drivers?

In MN they call them whiskey plates, and yes the spouse has to suffer the embarrassment of the plates even if it was not their offense. Though I don't think having a special plate has deterred any of the drinking and driving around here. I see these plates all over lately.

Parents of third graders outraged at diversity tape

[QUOTE=Jeana (DP)]... I think that you need to earn your way out of a marriage. If you read stories of children who take drugs, commit crimes, etc., nine times out of ten, you'll hear the word "divorce" in there and that's usually when the kids start to go downhill. I think that "love" is...

Parents of third graders outraged at diversity tape

Jeana what if it's the situation where the parents are no longer in love with each other? Maybe they aren't happy in the current marriage b/c there has just been too many hardships, emotional let down, whatever. Do you think the kids would be better off with the parents staying married for the...

The context that American Idol is shown in is too make fun of the people who didn't make it. I saw ET the other night and Kathryn McVee (sp?) said she had no interest in watching that part of the show either. So I did what she did "changed the channel" I don't feel that doing that has deprived...

Parents of third graders outraged at diversity tape

I am in the thick of the elementary life, I have one who's in 4th grade and 1 getting ready to start Kindergarten. I believe it is this spring that the "why girls and boys are different" video will be shown. However, I have never heard of the "diversity" video. I live in a pretty liberal area...

GW- I think if this idea of showing the video had been taken to the parents and let them view it before hand, then let them choose whether or not to allow their child to see it. I personally don't think that my son would have gone to school that day to watch it in the 3rd grade, he wouldn't...

speachless...you sure you've been reading ALL the posts in this thread? Yes... and I think the original topic has been forgotten. Of the things "NOT TO DO" in life, I think telling someone how to raise their kids is #1. Government and schools have no business teaching about lifestyles...

BTW............ I think age 8 is a little too old for Hotwheels. Kids mature at different ages. I think if you expose them to more mature topics too early, and 8 is a bit early, they may not understand what you or the school is trying to say. Which is why it should be at the PARENT'S...

You people have taken things out of context to say that I am not accepting or or that I am pushing my prejudices on my son.     Yes I've been reading what you all have to say, and I think you are taking Kitty's words out of context. The point in the beginning...
