Apparently they were watching him for 2 weeks before the arrest though, if she were in danger they wouldnt have expected her to stay and act normal while they gathered more evidence for 2 weeks. IMO

The only reference Im able to find now is a few DM articles stating: "It is understood the family has now left the area after a media horde descended upon their home on Thursday afternoon." I cant help but think of the reaction to Brian Laundrie's parents, whilst Gabby Petito was still...

I was thinking more along the lines of what could the parents have informed the police about, in my original comment about the parents fleeing/avoiding media attention etc. PS may have attempted to go on about life as usual, it may have seemed to work, however IMO, family, especially with...

A question for the more experienced and regular sleuthers.. Do you find it strange at all, that PS family has managed to stay clear of any media? Since the arrest, I am aware of the few articles on the girfriend with the horse pics etc, but has there been anything more about the family that...

Bbm Im also wondering if pings and watch data is enough, even if PS phone pings match up, if his vehicle was caught on cctv , would they need the footage to show him personally being the driver for eg. I linked an article a few pages back about a group of youths who stole cars and whilst on a...

Just wanted to mention this case for those that are not aware of it or question if deliberately killing someone with a vehicle would/could be charged with murder. Bourke Street murderer James Gargasoulas has been sentenced to life in prison for killing six people and injuring 27 others when he...

So far... ....just a murder charge. Would be surprised if more are not added, hopefully not SA charges which Ive often seen only added later (or released by media later) in other cases. Imo

So it seems in this case there may have not been enough evidence to charge with murder, where as apparently in PS case it seems they believe they do.

My understanding is that the video of the partying/drug taking etc is not confirmed to be the night prior to SMs disappearance. IMO NOT saying he wasnt out partying, as yes reports seem to indicate police did visit pubs for footage etc. If anyone does have reports that confirm it was the night...

Yes, and although the circumstances are centainly different, I was interested to see what the charges would be. I can only see mention of car theft charges for the passenges though, and even still if they were 'egging him on' to hit someone, Id have expected more then just car theft!

Hmm.. perhaps SM deliberately being run down is not as far fetched as I originally thought. Just came across this article, also Victoria. Seems some people do behave like this just for fun... ‘Hit him’: Melbourne teen allegedly egged on before mowing down cyclist in stolen car

Thank you! Does the article mention why the posibility of search dogs wasnt a "reality" in Victoria? I have heard of search dogs being requested and flown in from other states for other cases, so wondering if the article explains why this may not have been done for SM?

Regarding search dogs, just wondering if anyone is able to access this paywalled article. Edit. Sorry couldnt get link working Deadline: The Australian policing blindspot in searches for missing people "What if a trained tracker dog is given Samantha Murphy’s scent before the trail is...

Indeed, he could be entirely innocent or mistakenly implicated due to mates/vehicle etc, or coincidentally..the phone pings being similar for eg. It seems to be enough for the police to charge with murder though, and if this was the case I would think he would be "assisting police" rather than...

I expected that they would find the body soon after the arrest. Once they had a suspect I thought they would be able to track his movements and narrow down possible locations and find SMs body quite fast. Im surprised they still have not found her, even without PS cooperating. There has been...

Does anyone remember/know of any sources stating that female searchers had been harassed? I read it today, but in a DM article, so wondering if it was reported elsewhere. Following reports of a man harassing female searchers, he questioned whether there could be someone living in the abandoned...
