Were all here for WCJD, but I feel so sad for NV regardless if shes WCJD or not. Its so heartbreaking to think about how many people out there have no family connections and no one to claim them in death. Mad respect for all you sleuths out there that work so hard to give DOES their identitys...
The kid was 10. What kid isnt curious about things at that age. If they had never taken him to the river that they lived so close to, Arie probably had even a larger sense of curiosity than normal. Saying we never went there so he would never go there to me sounds naive.

I understand that the family wants to believe he was abducted rather than falling into the river because it then means there is still a chance he is alive, but insulting the investigation and police isnt going to help. As well, demanding to speak to the witness and insinuating that she is wrong...
Canadian here. We dont skate to work. Maybe theres a random photo that shows that in one place but its certainly not the norm. :) Pond hockey is popular, but Ive never seen hockey played on a river since the river is always flowing the ice cant be trusted.

The current of the river is too strong for them to search right now. I hope the family gets answers soon. If he was walking near the river he may have assumed what looked like snow covered ground was actually just snow covered thin ice and fallen in.

Ok, I dont need to link the Reddit post because most of the information is over on the Lyle Steviks thread. Ill put it below. Anyways, over on the Lyle Steviks Reddit page where this news is listed, one comment asks if Walker County Jane Doe could possibly be the next case they look into...
She could have copied someone on the Rockport/ Port Aranas.
Maybe while making small talk with someone giving her a ride, they mentioned they were from Rockport/ Port Aranas
If she was trying to conceal her identity it makes sense that she would try and hide where she was really from.

It seems like in some cases as soon as they do isotope analysis it breaks a case wide open.
Is there any chance they'll do that with WCJD? It would at least (hopefully) answer the question of whether she was from where she said.

I'm not trying to stray too far from this case in particular, but regardless of what he's charged with or sentenced to, I'm sure it won't seem like enough. The justice system protects offenders; not victims or their families. I'm including an article from a 2016 case that happened in...
I agree 1000%. While I sympathize with mental illness, it shouldn't allow offenders to commit awful crimes and face no real consequences. Top of mind without even having to do a google search there have been numerous cases where the offender has been deemed not criminally responsible (Brentwood...
Same guy.

I want to go on a rant about our sorry excuse for a justice system, but I will leave it at this guy shouldn't have been out alone wandering playgrounds given his past.

My stomach is is knots thinking of the agony her family is in right now.
Praying as much as humanly possible that she is returned unharmed.

I haven't read anything on a boyfriend, which seems strange because usually it seems like it's the first thing mentioned.
I wonder if she left voluntarily to meet up with someone

Someone walking on Montara beach found an AAA auto card with Richard Moss's name on it in the sand. It sounds like they will now be searching the water.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it normal for FBI to be involved in a missing person case this early, and with the possibility she left on her own? I guess I'm asking what makes this case different than the hundreds of other missing person cases that don't involve the FBI.

Was her car parked in a designated airport staff parking lot, or just a regular one? I know at our airport, there is a parking lot only for staff and it can only be accessed with a key card.
I wonder too if security cams have been checked. Surely there's decent security footage of all parking...
