I think this method is really the way to go from here. Targeted Facebook posts, particularly in FL to gain his sister's attention ( if she exists) or in NYC to target potential former co-workers or acquaintances may get some momentum going.

This is where I am at as well. It would be so early (from what we know) in his trip, that he may not have settled on a plan of complete anonymity or the lengths he'd go to preserve it. At this point, the hiking could have still been a bit of a lark.

It looks like the CLC Summer Hiker Spaghetti meals are held on Wednesdays, and that seems to have been the case for at least the past four years, from what I can find. That means he was in Duncannon at least on ones of these dates: 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, 7/12, 7/19, or 7/26. If he was...

Actually, looks like their hiker meal program typically runs mid-May to the beginning of August each year, which falls right into the time he was in Duncannon (June/July 2017, I believe?)

This picture was uploaded on Apr25 of this year in the FB group "CLC Summer Hiker Meals" Doesn't preclude it from being MH, as it looks like that is about when the page was started, and they may have just been uploading some pictures to get it going.
