I’m a relative of Aprils & I’ve been looking into her case. I also think she’s a good match for Lady in the Lake. But Aprils case isn’t well known. Just wondering what lead you to think of her as a possible match?

I’m looking into this too! By convent, they could’ve also meant commune. There was a well known hippie commune in San Marcos, TX at the time that’s less then 3 hours from Houston.

Any update on if the family has been able to submit DNA. As of 2021 her Doe Network page still doesn’t show DNA available. This is so frustrating! It doesn’t seem that her case has made it outside of Alabama. I’m trying to see if she could possibly be a Doe in NY.

April is kinda my cousin, but not. Her mom was my mom's best friend & I considered her my aunt .April is a lot younger than me so I wasn't really close to her or anything .I do still talk to her mom, she's very active within the missing children community . I'd love for someone to delve deeper...
