Yes, the lack of evidence supporting their scenarios supposedly explaining how SA and BD are guilty should have been enough for any jury to return a verdict of 'not proved'.

This is the most baffling part to me. It's not like the person dragging the body was having an easy time doing that. As for as the early reports of dismemberment I imagine seeing the victim's body stuffed into the bag covered in blood could look confusing.

It would seem that if the RAV4 were planted it would be for the purpose of implicating someone associated with ASY. Obviously, the person(s) responsible for the murder wouldn't want it anywhere near where it would implicate themselves.
