A lot of functioning addicts on H out there. You may not know they're even doing it till they take it too far one day. I've had 2 friends OD. Didn't know till they were dead & buried they ever had a habit.

It's just not clever though. The way an innocent person most often behaves when confronted & accused has been repeated endlessly on true crime shows. In fact, one of the LE came right out & said the couple would be continuing on "anyway." "Anyway" was the word he used. All considered, they handled it well. It's a shame, imo, they didn't know about any prior calls about the assault at the Moonflower. Hindsight is 20/20, & they have a hard job...

LE actually preferred to give the hotel room to Gabby, & one of the officers called a supervisor to get permission to do so. His request to his supervisor to give her the room, not B, was turned down because G was the "suspect," or primary aggressor. This is said outright in the bodycam footage...
