Frank H. Johnston – The Charley Project
The height, weight, and eye color are not a match. However, Frank was last seen heading to California a few months before the UID was found and his general appearance is very similar.
Michele Reidenbach is already a rule out for this Jane Doe. Based on the various reconstructions I still think she might be Marcia Remick, but I could be wrong.
I wonder if this doe might be a match to Josephine Doris Despard? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
The vitals largely match and Olean, where Josephine disappeared, is not that far from Buffalo. Josephine disappeared 5 years before the discovery of this UID, but there...
They slipped it in under the radar, and maybe a more formal confirmation is coming soon, but on the DNA Doe Project Facebook page JCD is listed as identified pending legal confirmation of identity.
I would like to know what everyone's opinions are on Patricia Taylor as a possible match to this UID: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs).
Patricia's photographs are all over the place (IMHO) and the hair color is not a match, although it may have been dyed blonde. Her...
Thanks for posting this. I finally found a way to submit an anonymous tip to the Knoxville PD and have done so. It would be nice to know since DNA seems to be available if Sharon Leinart is an exclusion to this case.
Joshua Paul Shields is a rule out on this case. The current list of rule outs as of 10/20/2018 for this UID are:
Alfred Apperson Jr.
Paul Barnett
Aristeo Garcia
Brian Hale
David Lewis
Joshua Shields
Justin Walker
Gregory Williams
This is a great question. I was also wondering if there was any way of comparing the two cases directly. Since both cases are being handled by the Knoxville PD, they should know. I was not able to find anything when I checked because neither case is in the Doe Network or Charley Project.

What do you all think of Mary Ann Bagenstose as a possible match for this UID?

According to NamUs, the Doe Network, and Charley Project, Mary had a slight limp caused by a car...
Looking at the Daughenbaugh thread I am struck by the fact that he has no DNA in the system despite having several surviving family members (as of 2002). Maybe someone should contact the NamUs coordinator or LE for this case? After all NamUs is supposed to provide collection kits for family DNA...
That recon reminds me of Lowell Vern Daughenbaugh if he had kept trying to make his way to Texas by hitchhiking after leaving his vehicle in North Carolina, but Daughenbaugh was supposed to have had a ton of tattoos that should have made him easily identifiable.
Name: Lowell Vern Daughenbaugh...
It is the same information. I forgot to check if another thread already existed before I created this one and asked a mod to merge the two once I realized it.
Also, I did go ahead and submit Timothy Guy as a possible match to this UID to the Doe Network. My hope is that if the Doe Network finds...
Given the lack of dentals, fingerprints, or DNA I have not submitted any matches to LE, but one possible candidate would be Timothy Guy. Guy would be outside the weight and age ranges, but he disappeared within an hour of where the UID was found and disappeared on 2/6/1987 which falls squarely...

I remember years ago conflating Ralph Leon Jackson with this serial killer, because Jackson had attacked a couple on the Blue Ridge Parkway. What strikes me about this killer is that although part of the MO throughout the cases is the same, attacking couples on a scenic parkway, the method use...
I think the DNA is worth asking about because if it came from the bio parents then we can be confident in the exclusions. If the DNA came from somewhere else, then it would be worthwhile to get rule outs on both DNA and dentals wherever possible in case the DNA is not Elizabeth's but possibly...
