justthinkin I was going to tell you the same thing, you need to take some time to read ALL the previous threads in this case. Otherwise, it's like you jumped into the middle of a conversation and just started talking. Most of what is being discussed now, has been discussed before. As an...

More knowledge is never a bad thing!:) You don't see the little "Google Man" on the map (where you can drag to increase or decrease your view)? If you do see him, just drag him and drop him on the map where you want to "virtually" walk around. I think it's pretty cool, but then sometimes I'm...

I don't think this is our John either. Besides the missing teeth and the height, This guy has black hair. Our John has brown hair. On another matter, I thought you guys might like to see this: Type in these two addresses in Google Maps (one at a time, of course) then click on "street view"...

No one knows if they EVER attended the races. He was just wearing the shirt.

They were found in August of '76, not '75. The shirt John was wearing was from the '75 race. I don't understand why mysterylover is thinking they were at the '76 race in March. Did I miss something?

JD's eyes were brown. Joseph Pierre Roussel's eyes are hazel. I don't believe someone would mistake brown for hazel or vice versa. Blue or green, yes. My eyes are hazel and they change color. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is a match.

MaryBeth, Fairy1, Shadetree, It's amazing how sharp you guys are. What's with Lonnie's name? Did he change his name to his Mothers last name, after the murders? serial #'s filed and bio-names changed??...Hmmmmm! I have my answer.. Notice this LAST WORD in L.H'jr.'s Obituary.....Veteran... ...

Thank you MB for jumping in. I don't think I had it in me yet this lovely Monday morning to strain my brain. I thought LH's son that drowned was a Jr. I have had difficulty finding family information on LH. I know its out there, I just haven't been able to get my fingers on it yet. One thing...

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #3

Lonnie Henry did NOT live in Darlington county. He lived in NC, not SC. Here's a quote from crimelibrary: Authorities thought they had their best lead yet when, about four months after the slayings, police found the gun they believe was the murder weapon. A North Carolina man suspected of...

I know we aren't trying to solve the murders, but you can at least entertain the thought that WHO committed the murder could help lead us to WHO are Does are. Fairy1 & TeresaL: Thank you. Those are some of the same thoughts that plague me. I went back out to Locklair Road recently - in...

Thank you Teresa. I was hoping that the video and some of the other things I shared would spark some new thoughts and theories.

Since you guys are discussing Locklair Road I thought I’d share some thoughts of my own with you. I am attaching a link to a video I took back in June of Locklair Road. Let me warn you in advance, it’s the longest 4:14 minutes you’ll ever endure. I’d also suggest...

Here's the thing... The LE people in Sumter READ WS and they have been very tolerant of sleuthers contacting them. Since you want to slam them, they are going to be less receptive to us offering our help and that's not what WS is supposedly about. So, if you want to shoot yourself in the foot...

I think that for you to suggest that the "good ole boys" in Sumter "took care" of LH because he sat in a bar and drank with them is ridiculous. I also think that this offhand trashing of the law enforcement of Sumter is also irresponsible and uncalled for. It is easy for us to sit here 32...

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #3

The misspelling of Sumter I could have overlooked. But saying that Lonnie Henry probably drank often with off duty cops in bars - is highly inflammatory. Guess you didn't know that some of those "good old boys" you are talking about are still alive and TRYING TO HELP solve this murder STILL...

That was an excellent post phenolred. And I completely agree with MaryBeth. Sometimes you just have to clear your mind of what has been said about our Does, and go strictly by what you KNOW to be true. What the people at the campground said should not be taken as a fact. We don't know if the...

Thank you MaryBeth. I don't know how I missed this before. Very interesting. And who do you think Lonnie would lie for (if he was)? Only someone very close to him - my first guess would be his own child. Shadow: I'd love to see the obit if it's not too much trouble. How weird that he...

Reannan, I think that's a good idea. I haven't thought of doing that. It's a needle in the haystack, but WTH. So is everything else. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Shadow: This is the first time I can remember hearing of this. Where did you find this information? Reannan: I live in Kershaw County (the next county over from Sumter) in Lugoff. I just moved here about 3 years ago. Before that I was living near you - in Aiken County.
