She also appears to be clutching her mobile phone in her hand, possibly an indication that she might have been expecting a call/message or thought she might need it to hand to refer to something.
If you look at the full photograph of her in Jarrolds (Daily Mail link in post above), there is another person (possible a customer) visible in the bottom left hand of the frame. Her 'smile' may have been out of politeness/professionalism to this person, rather than her being particularly happy...
Yes, these are my thoughts too. She may have been having some kind of manic episode and decided to go for a wild swim and removed her clothing and jewellery for this purpose. Then possibly got into trouble in the water.
I work very close to Richmond Park (Kingston gate) and the police are still out in force this morning. Also worth noting there is a University campus just across the road which has lots of wooded areas. Students are starting to arrive for the new semester and he would blend in very well due to...
Thought my fellow websleuths would find this news article amusing!
‘Ritual Mass Murder’ was yoga class - BBC News
“A yoga class was mistaken for a "ritual mass murder" scene after members of the public saw several people lying on the floor and reported it to police.
Five police cars descended...
I live very close to the area and you are correct - Horsell isn’t really a ‘village’ in the traditional sense of the word as it is so close to Woking Town Centre (large commuter town in Surrey). You could probably walk from most parts of Horsell to Woking Town Centre in around 30 minutes.

It seems nonsensical that the press are saying an international man hunt is currently underway but the police haven’t identified who the three people they are searching for are.
Also interesting that they haven’t reported that any other possessions were found. He is wearing good quality walking clothes and hiking boots. It would seem quite unusual for a hiker to go out without a backpack or at the very least a water bottle & mobile phone.
Is it possible that the weight reported is incorrect? The weight reported would give him a BMI in the region of 13 which is extremely underweight and I’m not convinced he would have been physically able to go hiking. It would be useful to know what size the clothes were. The clothing brands are...
What a tragic outcome. Hoping the two survivors have a good recovery, physically and psychologically. Being trapped there for so long badly injured with friends who haven’t survived is a thing of nightmares.
In her Strava photos, she is often wearing white wired earphones. It would be interesting to know if they have been found, and if so if they were near to her mobile phone.
That's quite surprising to read. Presumably his directorship would have been terminated by his colleagues? Seems premature considering he has only been missing for around six weeks.
