I know many of us suspect the ex-bf may be involved, but afaik he hasn't been officially named. Are there any other possible leads? For instance, do we know where Madeline works or other people she hangs out with? I'm praying this beautiful girl is still alive.

I agree, I think by "manner" of death he just meant the specific kind and/or degree of knife injuries inflicted on the victims were different. It could also be that the victims were all killed the same way, but additional injuries were inflicted on one of the girls (most likely Kaylee, IMO)...

At the very least, it lowers the chances that just one person successfully carried out the murders. It would be hard enough to kill two people in the same bed with a knife even once, let alone doing it twice. Unless the killer were a very large man OR there were multiple killers. JMO.
