If you google "delphi iowa case similarity", you'll find many discussions about this. It remains a possibility, a high possibility in my mind. There are just too many similarities to ignore. Hope LE doesn't discount it for whatever not fact-based reasons.

The mathematical random chance of the two dates match like that is extremely low, in fact. Extremely unlikely it's random, but it's only statistically speaking. It happens, I guess, right, even the chance is almost nothing, but it's not zero .... But, how about other "coincidences"...

Innocent people die or were murdered and innocent people's lives get destroyed in the process of solving the crime. The world is cruel and heartless. The old laws just don't work in modern digital FB world anymore. You'd think the smartazz in Congress would do something about it.

Lot of drama for maximum PR coverage and attention. It's good but on the substance side very little. Otherwise, the wild guessing games here would have ended. I pray they INDEED have more to go by and pursue, but so far it appears they are beating bushes IMHO.

Highly doubt LE knows specifically of this person. The points are general, and likely made based on FBI profiling. They said almost the same things in the Iowa cold case. Most here would guess that as well. To me, they are still clueless.

The area in the IOWA case is "Seven Bridges" .... water and bridges. Another coincidence.

Hmm... how many cases are there when two little girls killed together like this? 1%, 10% ...? By the river/water, 10%? 20%? .... and the dates ... .. the odds get smaller and smaller.

If there were a detective like you, the case might have been cracked already. Sharp eyes!

Surely I hope they have more in the sleeves. But years past and no real progress ... doesn't give people confidence. That seems to be the only solid fact so far, ironically. Sorry to be negative, but fingers crossed for real quick progress before the next tragedy.

I wouldn't discount the possibility because obviously LE has no concrete facts to discount it. They have gotten nowhere so far. Interestingly, in both cases, LE came down to a THEORY of a local person, the language used is strikingly similar as well.

This case is eerily similar to the cold case of Elizabeth J. Collins and Lyric R. Cook in Iowa. The lake is 6.5 hour drive to Delphi. I wonder if there is a connection between the two cases, both near water and wilderness. Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins

Murders are horrible, but i cannot imagine the terrible consequences innocent peoples reputation and lives are tarnished just because now the focus is on the "good" people, and the tide has turned because nothing else left to look. If 10 obvious things don't add up to a dog, 99.999% chance that...

" if he was an upstanding pillar of the community or a man of God"... Possible, but statistically not likely in a small town like this. I'd hate to look at all the good people to find the suspect. The outcome is often quite the opposite.

What colleges end class that early? No. Doubt BG is that young, doubt it's from Delphi, but likely from adjacent areas, seems a well-experienced person. I don't give the wording at PC too much weight. The sheer fact that two years later LE asks now asks about a car parked there says a lot...

That's my take as well. It's a positive spin of a bad situation. They have worked hard on it, and are frustrated obviously.

Another take is that they have no idea where the killer is, just point to any possibility.
