Anyone read the news reports today about the homeless man arrested for two murders in tweed and Sunshine Coast?! According to police Kevin James Pettiget tried to evade detection and discarded clothing after both murders. He also shaved his beard. Could it be?

Yeah it’s baffling. I guess I keep in mind that he’d been looking up his hostel from the time he left CM. So perhaps that search could have kept being refreshed to keep the phone active even if the phone had left his hands.

Hey Rocket, I believe Theo’s father thinks he could be in a commune and I’ve had confirmation from Sherie that the team is also exploring the possibility it wasn’t Théo using his phone. Clearly the podcast is retracing the steps taken by his phone. However, I’m not sure that means they all...

Good point T about why not just hide in the fire trail if you’re getting chased...Also why not run towards the car park light of Tallows so you can run towards people. If it wasn’t Théo however, and someone wanted to get away from whatever happened at the rec fields then they could’ve been...

Unless you are waiting for something. A phone call perhaps, the coast to be cleared back at the rec fields, the sounds of police sirens, a text. IMO it wasn’t Théo and as such the person with his phone could be waiting to assess situation and figure out next move.

Whoever it was walking that track knew the area very well indeed to even know Tommy’s camp existed. And even if Théo was there with someone it doesn’t explain how he himself knew to double back unless we are to believe the person with him was also vocalising instructions in which case they’d...

I wonder if anyone in the search team has used the same model phone Théo had to try and see if the screen locks you out with maps running. It is possible his phone was used by someone else and it would be good to rule that in or out.

I I found the same thing with iPhone 7. Also we don’t know as far as I’m aware how long Theo’s phone was set to stay active between the screen lock activating. With iPhone you can set the intervals. It’s possible that if someone ran away with his phone then the phone didn’t need a passcode to...

Passcode can be disabled while phone is Yeah if he was at CC they would’ve found him. In my opinion if his phone ended up pinging off Lawson street the next day then that’s where we should be looking.

Yeah great point. IMO that pretty much rules out disorientation and the theory that his drink was spiked with a substance that caused him to behave the way his phone leads us to believe that he did.

Listened to episode 4 and I dunno what to think. Seems like those in the podcast are leaning towards a theory though. Thoughts?

Looks like stinging nettle That is lantana. Lantana is covered in prickles and thorns along the vine making it very difficult to penetrate.

This new detail could also explain someone else running with Theo’s phone and hiding in the vines and bushes.

Yeah that’s very true. And if they weren’t being chased then why run that way?

I believe it’s been established that maps will keep a phone active in which case passcode / fingerprint won’t be required. And then phone may have been kept active using YouTube. It’s certainly possible. But if Théo and others were being chased it doesn’t explain why only Théo is missing and...

If Théo did follow a local or locals down Milne track and through the very precarious bush trail then why was he running? There is no evidence to suggest he was running from danger if we are to believe him using his phone to watch YouTube etc at CC. Perhaps he was running towards CC but there’s...

I agree with you 100%. IMO the only reason you would avoid the lit Tallows car park is if you don’t want to be seen.

I believe phone was kept active at CC until it went into sleep mode. Maps were disabled, YouTube vid watched, what’s app msg sent. Presumably with this regular activity you wouldn’t require passcode.
