It actually kind of is a lot of the time, up to who gets there first and what they say and the tone they set for the entire investigation by law enforcement.
The church thinks autopsies are okay of the loved one of the dead give their consent nowadays, but Chad wasn't your everyday Mormon, and the old stuff didn't support autopsies or cremation very much. As I said, some don't go for it, but that doesn't mean everyone.
Well this is very good news. It suggests that Lori and Chad knew that they would not be in one place in Hawaii very long, and did not have the funds to spring for a hotel or furnished condo during tourist season. Which is another way of saying, they at least had some inkling this was a dodge but...
Wait, didn't they just buy the furniture stuff about a month or two ago? Neighbors said that Chad and Lori had moving vans bring in new and modern furniture, but that they had some smaller boxes delivered from Idaho... Furniture is expensive and it doesn't exactly hold much resale value.
Jesus...
Autopsies found out cause of death in all of them who died because the family demanded it and so did their insurance for at least two of them. But to be fair, two were Catholic and one was athiest. Catholics here in the US don't usually have a real problem with autopsies. Jehovah's Witnesses...
Lots of religions and/or families don't especially take kind to autopsies. And at the time, Charles's kids and perhaps most of Lori's relations had little to no reason to suspect murder. It's not unheard of for people of her age to suddenly experience a lethal event from a stroke or brain...
Maybe don't talk about interstate law so much... Also though massive respect for owning up to your ignorance of it. We all make mistakes, and even though you added a LOT of qualifiers to your apology, it is valid and good.

The LDS combined Manifest Destiny with religion, and that was a good brand strategy for the time, and even is still one now. But it's nothing new <modsnip>
Maybe it's all very good LARPing of the super stupid The Wicker Man remake with Nic Cage from 2006. You got a bunch of blonde broads who are members of a mysterious cult luring very dumb men into odd sex and murder games that may or may not lead to dead kids at any moment.
All we need is the...
I don't know where Wily got the idea that states have to honor the laws of every other state, but it's colossally untrue. States disagree and fight over laws all the time.
And I'm sorry, but it's a very dangerous thing to say that all states must honor all other state's laws in the US, because...
I really don't think the swollen eyes were any kind of tell for Lori. She had to stand up in court in a bad jumpsuit without her extensions, makeup, false eyelashes, or a proper flat iron and the results were... Not on point with the image she had previously wanted to present to the world.
What...
We don't know what happened to Tammy yet. She could have just died from a massive heart attack or brain aneurysm suddenly, and that would still be more likely than her being murdered, for example. Until the autopsy and toxicology results on Tammy is released, it's unlikely any new info will surface.
