I'm not shocked at all about the 999 response or the general response of Norfolk Constabulary given my own dealings with them
.
First time was when I had a stalker. He would look in my windows, follow me on the school run, block my path so I was forced to talk to him. He cornered me with his car...
The riverside walk goes right around the Cathedral. Plenty of people come in the Archway, walk down to the riverside, walk around to where it leads to the other side of the cathedral and leave, either around Bishopsgate or cut across back to the Archway.
It's an extremely popular walk and not...
Here are the maps I threw together previously. Added one with the new info. What's confusing is they just say she entered and then was walking on Riverside walk, with no indication of how she got from the archway to the walk which is the other side of the Cathedral.
Edit: Purple is The Close...
If you look back I included a rough map of her movements in a previous post. I think our local news website also eventually published one too.
ETA: Mine doesn't include some of the new movement they discovered but I can certainly edit it in.
Kind of off topic but our local football club in Norwich released a mental health campaign with the themes around checking in on people even if they seem ok. It's pretty powerful and really well done.
She appears to be surrounded by a lot of people with a lot of love for her, but we will never...
Gaynor's Facebook - Unless i'm looking at the wrong one the last and only post is from 2012 and she has 34 friends? Seems like someone who barely used it. Probably met Julie after 2012 and maybe hasn't used Facebook since. I've met and lost contact with a ton of people in the last 11-12 years so...
The UK attitude to "jaywalking" is completely different than it is in the US or other countries. It's not illegal here. People can cross the road wherever and won't get a fine (or hit by a car if they are careful).Extremely common behaviour, even in cities.
Just to reiterate, I live in Norwich...
Everyone keeps bringing up her nearly getting knocked over. If you don't use the traffic lights and pay attention at that crossing it is easy to have near misses. Honestly, hundreds of people a day ignore the lights and take a chance at that crossing, myself included, and i've had a few near...
It was about 10C in Norwich that day and around that time. It dropped a bit after about 4pm down to 7C. Bedford street and London Street are also quite steep hills so if you are walking at pace uphill then continue walking at pace for 5 or so minutes in a big puffy jacket and scarf it's going to...
I take issue with the News' interpretation of her friends report, as I mentioned earlier, because he didn't call out Wensum Park. What he actually said was "Riverside" which is a totally different area smack bang in the city center (and quite a walk from Cathedral) and "rivers around the area"...
