Here's more on Jiminez and Rodriguez. If the Walmart receipt date is correct, it would have been four months later from when they were first believed to have gone missing.

Perhaps you know this, but you have to create an account at NamUs to see "exclusions". This is the NamUs link for "Slater Road John Doe" The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
There are the three rule outs that I listed back in post #3 of this thread. I checked and nothing...
Great suggestion. But a slight discrepancy. MP's owl tattoo is on left forearm. UP's bird (owl?) tattoo is on right shoulder. But given both are said to be owls, it is an extremely unusual similarity. One of the tattoo locations could be mistaken.
Although she was said to be from Georgia, she had ties to Michigan. Back in post #108 @lilacs traced the shirt graphics to artist Jim Benton whose shirts were being sold in Michigan around that time.
I guess my speculations were wrong. The article says he was returning to college in New Hampshire (leaving from Burlington, Vermont). So maybe he was going back to Dartmouth or UNH, or maybe White Mountains Community College, which is near Berlin. MOO.
I have no doubt you're right about the boat ramp users. I was referring to the people using Farrington Rd., not so much the boat ramps. As a cyclist, I generally avoid being on Farrington Rd. at times like Sunday evening because of the hostile behavior of people pulling their boats or campers...
"Anyone with information about the victim or who witnessed any suspicious activity around Farrington Road and Jordan Lake before or on Tuesday is asked to contact the Chatham County Sheriff's Office"
I'm local too. The sheriff office mentions Farrington Rd. in particular. It gets a lot of...
I agree. His published utterings in English are barely understandable. That may be why he left his previous institution with a Masters. In the physical sciences, prospective PhD students who do poorly in their coursework and/or graduate teaching duties, often are re-directed to leave with an MS...
"her vehicles license plate information was picked up near Salisbury"
Can anyone say what this means? Maybe her license plate was spotted on a traffic cam?
The trail cam and the last log entry were both dated July 9. Is it fair to say that his last known location was on July 9, even though he wasn't reported missing until more than a week later when his car was located?
With those tattoos it seems like this should be able to be solved. Maybe these were her daughters?
"Emily 10-19-03" with wings & crown
"Tiffany 11-14-98"
Plus three other tattoos that were less detailed.
Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I did find a news report of a pedestrian death on I-85...
Respectfully, I'm not sure I understand your point. I have found that GPS coordinates listed in NamUs are almost never exact locations, but more often are just the geographic center of a town or a random location.
FWIW I looked for local news articles with more details about this UP and found...
I also agree about the most likely explanation for what happened. As for the VFF, he seemed quite brave to assess the situation and stick around, given that another VFF and his younger cousin were killed close to there earlier that year by someone in an apparent psychotic state ("thought they...
The wheels of justice do turn kind of slow here in Durham but they eventually seem to roll. I expect the reasons for delays in Faith's case may be unrelated, but there is a significant backlog of rape kit testing by NC LE.

"The victim's thumbprint was matched to a print of Duffy's thumb on file with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, according to Pacifica police Capt. Mike Blagrove."
Seems like they recovered her other hand, or at least the thumb, and had the prints to compare. Although after several...
I would guess GPD is Galveston Police Department. Elsewhere I found that a municipal hold could mean any number of things, such as someone with a warrant from another jurisdiction, or held for their own safety, etc...
I agree with the others. That looks like a really solid match. But... do we know this person is/was even missing ? Also, any further information on what the "municipal hold" was for? As a juvenile that may not be something that can be determined.
Good point. FWIW there is an Oxford House in the block where she was reported as last being seen. Those are group homes so they could have been hesitant to report her as missing if they thought she might perhaps have gone somewhere else. Not sure if she was a resident there or not, it's just...
