The Marina district is actually known as being kind of fratty because a lot of younger, bro-y type of people live there! I wouldn't be surprised if she had friends (or friends of friends) who lived there.

Downtown SF is very quiet these days because of the pandemic. A lot of the businesses in the Financial District/downtown area are closed as people work remotely. It's definitely possible that she may be able to blend it, but there are much fewer people out and about.

Oh definitely! Sorry for misunderstanding your post. I just e-mailed a popular blog here in SF to see if they can publicize Sydney's disappearance - it's possible one of their readers was at Crissy Field that day and saw her. Trying to think of things we can do as non-LEOs.
