Found Deceased UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #14

Although given the psych/medical assessments that have been ordered, maybe they will try and argue diminished responsibility based on some sort of mental breakdown? Given that it is known WC went back to work prior to his arrest (if I remember correctly) it seems pretty far-fetched (at least in...

I also think he will try and plead manslaughter - maybe manslaughter by an unlawful and dangerous act? I doubt the defence will think any grounds of diminished responsibility are worth arguing given that WC was employed by LE when the crime was committed. I think the evidence concerning the...

Found Deceased UK - Richard Okorogheye, 19, Oxford Student, Ladbroke Grove, West London, 24 March 2021 #2

Nope - this seems to be the most recent article anywhere online: Loved ones gather for funeral of teen found dead in Essex pond

GUILTY UK - Maria Rawlings, 45, murdered, Romford, Essex, 3 May 2021 *arrest*

Any updates about when VL's PTPH (plea/pre trial hearing) is or whether a date has been set for the full trial? Can't seem to find anything online about it...does this mean other offences are suspected?

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

I thought so too. I doubt that road is very busy and to get such a clear photo as an individual happens to be walking along that particular bit of road and for that individual to then turn out to be the only suspect does seem to be quite incredible. Although I suppose LE and the community were...

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

This piece of info is in most of the MSM reports about the court appearance this morning: "Lesley Manley, defending, said that lawyers were looking at the possibility of a psychiatric report prior to the beginning of the four-week trial."

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

I think we made that assumption from the fact LE had to release the accused's photo to identify him - would suggest he wasn't known to police in any capacity - if they have DNA evidence they also wouldn't have needed to publicise the photo if he had been known to police - they would have had him...

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

I don't think its related to stealing Toby now - if they have charged the right man then nothing seems to signal that there was anyone else involved or that it was a dog napping gone wrong - if someone else had taken toby whilst the crime was being committed with the intention of taking him then...

GUILTY UK - Maria Rawlings, 45, murdered, Romford, Essex, 3 May 2021 *arrest*

I'm pretty sure Valentin Lazar is quite a common Romanian name - Valentin definitely is and from a search on facebook it looks like Lazar is also - so I think they probably just share the same name.

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

Yep - unless he has somehow come into contact with Julia at work I doubt he even knew she was a police officer - as someone said further up she wasn't wearing uniform etc. And she was a PCSO not a constable dealing with domestic violence mainly so I'm not sure what capacity he could have met her...

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

Thats what I don't understand - they have charged a suspect so must be pretty sure he is the perpetrator - so why would a reconstruction and more witnesses be needed? I guess more witnesses are always good in terms of building a strong case that will hold up in court alongside DNA evidence - but...

GUILTY UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST* #2

Yep spot on - to me all the same things you have mentioned have stood out as potentially demonstrating either some sort of psychosis/serious levels of detachment to what he has done/has been charged with. The inability of the police to identify him and their appeal with such a clear image of him...

(Accidentally posted this after the other thread had been closed - was replying to Lore and about CW looking like this was not his first offence) I doubt he's known to the police - I could be totally wrong (I'm not sure if your criminal record for petty crimes as a juvenile gets wiped when you...

UK - Julia James, 53, murdered, Snowdown, Kent, 27 April 2021 *ARREST*

I doubt he's known to the police - I could be totally wrong (I'm not sure if your criminal record for petty crimes as a juvenile gets wiped when you turn 18?) - but I think if he'd committed offences before they probably wouldn't have needed to put his photo all over the press/media to get him...

GUILTY UK - Maria Rawlings, 45, murdered, Romford, Essex, 3 May 2021 *arrest*

I agree somewhat - the most prolific serial killer in US history - Gary Ridgeway - he had siblings brought up (presumably) in a very similar way and in the same household and they did not go on to murder over 50 women. I do think however that in many ways what are perhaps innate...
