I recall someone in a previous thread saying that White Vauxhall Astra do not have black wing mirrors. It may be possible to switch them out, but this is unlikely on a corporately owned hire car. It's much more likely this is a different make/model white car

Link: BBC - Sarah Everard: Met Police officer Wayne Couzens in court "No bail application was made by defence barrister James Sturman QC, who also said legal aid was yet to be granted." This suggests that the intention is to use Legal Aid. Although what I know about legal aid (from Gov...

Thank you for that, I'm starting to understand it now. Does that mean one could be "lucky" and get someone like Phillippe Sands (if the case was in his area of expertise) on legal aid? Or another proven legal representative who is internationally recognised as a leader in their field?

I know absolutely nothing about Lawyers/Solicitors/Barristers, but this guy seems expensive? Or was I easily impressed by that website

I know Police humour can be dark at times, but why do that in the midst of all that is going on..! It's one of the biggest murder investigations in the UK in recent years and has elicited a huge emotional response from the public. At least some of the recipients were repulsed and reported it.

That article has a good example how MSM can make up sources to say what they want to say. Here's what I mean How convenient for the Daily Mail that this onlooker said exactly those words in a way that has all the information and helps sow the narrative of what's going on. Including saying...

On the theory that the car was parked across the pavement on the exit of Poynders Court, there is a CCTV camera pointing almost exactly at that spot: Google Maps Link

Several years ago I got speaking to a employee at a major UK/European Hire Car company. He said that a lot of cars are "stolen" (the hirer doesn't pay or return the car at the agreed time). He said that a lot of cars do not have tracking and they rely on ANPR to pick up the "stolen" cars. Not...

I think this is an important point that often gets overlooked. ID by dental records doesn't mean they could only identify by those records. A poster from several threads ago said that dental record ID might be preferable to the slower DNA ID methods or asking Family/Friends to go through the...

You'd think the suspect would remove or change the number plate of the car. Considering that seems to be how the Police tracked the vehicle into Kent and looked up who the vehicle was linked to... If there was no number plate or it was faked, then I don't think the police would have got as far...

Yes it looks as if some (but not all) of the articles referencing the emails and the Car make and model have been edited to remove those aspects.

The articles say that WC was due back at work on the 8th March. So I would say no, he did not return to work after emailing the supervisor

That Irvine Times article (link) contains a whole host of new information. Saying he was stressed and emailing his boss saying he doesn't want to carry a fire arm any more?! Googling SE and "Astra" and "Stress" shows many other MSM also reporting the same facts

People need to be a lot more careful making definitive statements that WC was seen on the unreleased cctv/camera. All the MSM have reported is that a vehicle associated with the disappearance was spotted on a Bus Camera and a Car Dashcam. Others have reported that this vehicle is linked to WC...

I think that now he's been charged, there will be very little new information given by the Met or CPS? The MSM will be under instruction not to prejudice a trial so they may keep quiet also. Not that that has stopped them in the past if I recall. This also applies to the British public as...

MOO but I suspect that of your options, Option 1 is the most likely. I imagine that the sad reality is that these kind of incidents are relatively common and the Met do not have the resources to investigate them all thoroughly
