I agree which is why it's so unbelievably frustrating listening to this "podcast." DPH says very specific things and it's completely overshadowed by the host; it's physically difficult to hear what DPH is saying due to the abysmal production values of this recording. Calling it a podcast seems...
Hah that crazy host is now threatening to Sue people on Reddit who said she was drunk on the podcast. Sorry hun, but being a public figure means people can say pretty much whatever they want about you on the internet.
I agree, it’s very hard to hear about child abuse especially what seemed like torture. DPH said some really interesting things about a potential satanic cult involvement in it. I know everyone has a hair trigger response to anything “satanic panic” but the fact remains that these organizations...
Has anyone listened to the latest episodes with the info on the Thomas Valva case? It's so disturbing but DPH does bring up interesting connections to cultic activities and child trafficking. It's really interesting how Valva was allowed to go unchecked for so long.
It's unfortunate the...
You're in the wrong thread, hun. We're not interested in this hobbyist speculation about LISK being some rambling serial killer wandering around the American West. Give me a break. The victims and their families deserve justice, not people waxing fanfic about this case.
Also her take on Pak was pretty groundbreaking to me. We could move the convo about Pak over to his thread, but I really was unaware of some of the things she claimed about him, notably that he had been seen at oak beach before and actually was the one who solicited the client and not Shannan.
Your thoughts on the belt. She postulated that it was a Hermès Music accordion strap and someone else said it was Hyatt Marriott catering. The latter seems like a stretch to me.
Well I think DPH is not regarded well in the LISK crime fan community. People regard her as being too over the top and unreliable which I initially thought until I heard her on that awful podcast. She seemed pretty reasonable to me. Her posts on Facebook can be a bit dramatic and sensational but...
Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm a new member and haven't had the time to read all of the posts on the 18 pages here. I was listening to the Her Community-2 podcast the other night and Dorothy Hill said that someone (maybe a Websleuther?) made the connection that the belt might actually...
Hahah, my favorite were the sounds of the quarters dropping into the vending machine. Like its 2021, a toddler could probably make a better podcast at this rate. I did think DPH had a lot of illuminating points and definitely connected some dots for me. I don't think everything she said was...
At least here on WS people question themselves. The critical thinking is strong here and what prompted me to join after lurking for a while. The discourse on Reddit is really disappointing; if you don’t get on with the group think hive mind there there’s really little to gain from other posters.
Curious to hear your take on the episode. Right now I’m so distracted by how drunk the host sounds. The hiccups alone are almost too much for me. In addition to the distracting background music. But aside from the superficial criticisms (though I’d prefer someone more capable as the interviewer)...
I'm listening to the podcast now. I'm thoroughly impressed with Dorothy; I had initially wrote her off as some lone nut obsessed with the case but had no idea how eloquent she was since I had never heard her speak. I think she's been unfairly denigrated in the true crime space.
Windsor, I don't necessarily believe what I said, it's just a theory I playing with and one that I was prompted to share following Wheel's comments. I completely agree that Ray is the only one moving this forward and the only one working on Shannan's behalf and the victims at large. It's just...
Isn't it weird how professionals high in their fields are willing to throw it all away for kicks? Doesn't it seem to defy reason? It makes me wonder if its part of some sort of cult initiation ritual. The fact that Spencer showed up in his county vehicle with only 2 pills on him is just weird.
I was using the term cult loosely. I think any kind of fraternity/club could apply. But I think the thing that differentiates a club from a cult would be rituals, specifically initiation/blackmail/insurance policy against defectors.
