That's brilliant- keep all focus on the heinous, sadistic murder, and don't get mired in defending Travis (which the DT would have loved!). He's right- it doesn't matter what kind of man he was ; what matters is the premeditated, brutal murder and the psycho who did it. And he stuck to the plan...
I can see your point, but I think Nurmi's drive was to win, above anything else. He not only hated the sadistic murderer, but also Juan. Talk about cognitive dissonance! LOL While all the while projecting his entire upstanding raison d'etre to be his stance against the death penalty.
It sounds like the power of this book and the beauty is that it exposes the psycho completely, the one thing psychopaths cannot bear. Unlike Nurmi's book which was really an angry rant of hatred.
I was gobsmacked when I watched this! Already the family is trying to provide disinformation and intimate that they were set up and that LE are corrupt and abusive and everyone is lying. Who does that? This is more than denial. To have that level of talent for bending reality and blaming others...
I can't imagine Juan was ever cowed by all those ersatz complaints.
A book by him would be so exciting! Not sure why he needs a co-author though; the man is brilliantly articulate. Is this for real?
Well, 281129 is consistent. When she was on the stand, her relationship with Travis was amazing and so perfect until it wasn't, though her love stayed strong and perfect. :rolling my eyes:
I love his style. Why? Because if you have nothing to hide, it's no big deal. No amount of supposed harrying is going to change the truth.
I was most impressed with Deanna, who, however harried and bullied and maligned and slimed she was by the DT, stood up to that behaviour with the...
I've watched a lot of those 'locked up" shows until I got a clue. One on one the prisoners sound so sympathetic and sane. And then you find out that when they are thwarted they are easily and spectacularly violent. So many prisoners talk about family, children....and yet here they are, not...
What I find really interesting is that this prison uses concerted behavioural modification to shape prisoners. So delicious to know when it comes to the likes of 281129. I had no idea! It's not chaotic as I imagined. Thanks LinTx for this new and vital information. It's so satisfying to...
I think that inside scoop on the judge's motives and desires is sheer bushwah. It's PR to explain and whitewash the judge's puzzling and egregious behaviour, especially the massive leeway given to relentlessly and repetitively violate Travis' character, life and loved ones, and the suspension of...
I read on some ex-inmate's blog that that's a rule- the hair must always be pulled back from the face, and exposing the ears. They give you one elastic to pull back long hair. Oh, the horror! (Especially when looking at what it does for her. Heh.)
