Interesting how LE is going about it. If they have the vehicle, they know the full license plate number. They only state the first and last character. Enough for people to search their camera video, but not reveal who the car belongs to?
MOO
Very random thoughts on the DNA. Twins? Either way, genetic genealogy should find him eventually. Frustrating this killer is still on the loose. Patience I guess.

Just a side thought. Maybe a connection between the MD and LA areas? A lot of gang members have stopped getting tattoos to make id harder. The article is a number of years ago. MOO.
If he is/used the same cellphone in both of his crime locations, might be possible to correlate dates and locations to a phone that shows having been in both areas? Thinking out loud.
The key takeaway for me, is that whatever is was that happened in LA was enough for LE to expend resources and time to get DNA evidence, add it to the database, and post the video online. And now apparently, the perp has committed a murder in MD. Hope they get this guy soon before he does...
If RH is involved with all of these, he has been operating for a long time. I wonder if he ceased after the discovery of all the victims in 2010, or found a new dumping area? IMO, he may be responsible for many more victims that have yet to be discovered. Very disturbing.
BK's defense is stirring things up (as you would expect). There is one immutable fact in this case, their clients DNA, a 100% match, is on the knife sheath found at the crime scene. Not even MOO - it is a fact. No amount of smoke and mirrors will change that fact.
True. Thinking on it further, would you want his DNA before you found a sample? Seems like something the defense could really go after. "You had his DNA, and then happened to find it on the sheath later?".
I just looked at the PCA trying to find out when the DNA was discovered on the sheath. It says "The Idaho state lab later located a single source of male DNA (suspect Profile) left on the button snap of the knife sheath". It's not clear when they discovered it. My question to any...
I wonder too, if LE is trying to/has gotten records from his previous cell phone carrier. That plus looking for connections to unsolved cases. The immediate concern is getting a conviction for this crime, but IMO well worth investigating anything he may have been involved with in the past.
