Then why did the defense float their long witness list full of You-tubers? Were they pretending they were calling them?
What was their purpose in doing that?
It is hard for me to consider Baldwin a victim in this case, considering the shady circumstances.
Westerman is now considered a 'consultant'? He did not have a law degree and was no longer an employee of Baldwin. So
what is it that makes him a 'consultant'?
I can't see Baldwin as a victim...
And IF he was a consultant for the defense at the time he leaked the photos, then the defense was even more responsible for the leaks, imo.
If one of his own team sent those sealed/protected documents to you-tubers, then the defense team is liable and should be held accountable. IMO
True but there is such a big contrast between their two 'attitudes.'
It went from 'we can do this on our own pro-bono, we don't need any help and we are ready for a speedy trial' to 'we can't possibly even look at all of the reams of Discovery because we are so underpaid and understaffed'...
EXACTLY.
They knew exactly what they were doing , IMO. The goal was to get this sealed info to the public. What is a better way to do that than YouTubers?
I think they may have mistakenly thought there was a benefit to their defense if some of this stuff was leaked to their you-tube allies.
I think it was similar to their decision to add so much superfluous stuff to their Frank's motion. They wanted all the Odinist stuff out to the public for...
Whereas months ago they claimed they were ready and willing to do this work pro bono AND they were ready for a speedy trial.
Their tune has surely changed.
Of course she denied all his motions. His motions were essentially asking the judge to step down, and for her to kick the prosecutor to the curb and for her to postpone a hearing which was about to immediately begin, with a courtroom of witnesses already there.
Why wouldn't she deny that nonsense?
So in a nutshell, their defense for their egregious leaks is that the prosecutor and the judge should recuse themselves and the hearing scheduled for this morning should be postponed. And if not, they plan to bring in a clown car full of you-tubers and influencers to set the record straight.
B Kohlberger was always given new suits to wear by his defense team. The same with Barry Morphew when he was still incarcerated.
I wonder WHY this defense team is not asking for their client to have a suit to wear? Do they maybe want him to look harassed and broken?
Of course. But sometimes things go wrong during that process. Bureaucracy is not pretty or efficient. But not everything bad that happens is malicious or negligent.

I wonder why they don't have spell/check or at least an intern to double check their articles.
Even though the search was 'formally' called off, many family members and friends continued throughout the entire night. It's hard for me to believe that kidnappers would return back to the scene of the crime, knowing there were so many locals out there already.
How does someone return with...
My guess would be because the defense is placing LE together with the prosecution and claiming they are the enemies here. The judge is supposed to be the unbiased arbiter of Justice.
So sending the files to the judge makes sense, to me anyway.
I think that^^^ is pretty close to what happened. Those sealed documents and photos were left unsupervised, on a table, in an unoccupied, unlocked room. That is negligent , IMO.
It would be unusual---but 5 year olds do odd things sometimes. When I babysit my granddaughter overnight I always go check on her because she burrows under her blankets sometimes, and once I found her with her pillow on top of her face----she said ot felt nice and soft....
I had to...
