God, I hope that this isn't true- that people won't search for a missing 13 year old girl if they don't like/respect/trust her mother and only search if her mother is out there searching too (even though police always ask them not to)? That'd be a wretched place to live.

And such a shame, also, that HD either didn't feel close enough to tell her father or NS. Or, if she did, that child protection services weren't called.

It doesn't bother me whether you agree or disagree, but I was not talking about what CD said, but what NS said. I was responding to TexasGiGi's post which said this: Quote: Originally Posted by TexasGiGi There was something in earlier posts, but I have no idea how to find it, that NS had...

You made sense, but the day that DD went over and asked the questions was Tuesday, not Monday, so the whole "that day" is still open I think.

I didn't mean anything but 'we shall see' whether or not any of the interviews bring forward people who have information that helps in finding this girl. I doubt we disagree on that.

IMO, anyone that "has a heart" would not sit on information about a missing 13 year old for a month. And, if they did, they had whatever 'reasons' they had for sitting on it. Tearful parents wouldn't, IMO, make them come forward. We shall see.

CD's words struck me as heartfelt and sincere too. As did BD's words to her daughter the other night. Neither, however, brings anyone closer to FINDING Hailey.

They should. And in my experience, they do. In fact, many of the police investigations these days make use of FB, myspace and Youtube postings, and police actively post youtube videos to get people/potential witnesses involved.

CD definitely picked the right interviewers. I'd be willing to bet that BD could do an interview with these 2 ladies answering live questions too. They set the paramters that it would not be about SA. On the other hand, BD has had NG: ooooooooh, tell us all the disgusting, disturbing things...

I think it has a lot to do with the interviewers, what they are asking and how they are asking it. Comparing the style of this interview to those of NG is like night and day. There is, however, still a lot of 2nd guessing outstanding IMO about whether NS is saying that Hailey came over 'for...

My friends and family came over when my mother was sick and had a serious and life-threatening operation. My brother, who does not drink, brought a case of beer. It's still here. And so is my mother. My point is, unless, as someone has suggested, there is a video or surveillance that shows BD...

And she started off by talking directly to Hailey in a very loving way. She followed up by trying to convey what events she thought were important or that people had been asking her about, in the timeline of events that occurred from Sunday to Tuesday. IMO, if she'd spent the time talking about...

Unless the news is that the body of a missing child is found on New Year's Eve. Precisely that event happened in Ontario, Canada, on NYE 1984. The media was all over it.

I don't think they've said AT ALL that they have "discounted all" of the sightings. I think they've said that they have not been able to 'corroborate' them. Personally, I think the language that is being used is interesting and revealing. 'Unable to corroborate' does not mean the same thing as...

I see a huge difference between "the sighting has been disproved", "the sighting is not possible", "the sighting is contrary to video/electronic evidence" and what they seem to be saying for the most part : "could not corroborate". I take that to mean they couldn't confirm OR disprove it...

BD did not say they had some people over for drinks. According to the warrant affidavit, SA said that. The affidavit is silent on what BD said about it. In public, she has said that her family came into town to support her, arriving on Friday. A good thing maybe for us all to remember here is...

Well, if the choice is between SA and BD, on this, I'm going to have to say I'm not picking SA as the truthful one.
