The evidence against Brad Cooper is questionable at best and nonexistent at worst. He deserves a new trial and the Rentz family deserves to feel secure that Nancy's killer has been found and put behind bars - I find it hard to believe that they are completely secure about that right now.
If Zimmerman really had wanted to defend himself, he would have done as the 911 operator said and not pursued Trayvon Martin. It doesn't really matter if GZ thought TM was carrying a gun - as the 911 operator said, that was not his problem. GZ wanted to play hero so he went against what 911...
I only saw the reading of the verdict - he wasn't taken away right away? Seems like after being handed LWOP he would be considered the ultimate flight risk...
I agree. If someone removed her, I think they removed her from the premises and took her...somewhere else. NO idea where that could be though!
Unless, of course, as MyBelle mentioned, were all of the drains in the house tested for blood? I remember testimony about CY's bathroom and the...
I remember testimony about CY's footprints in the bathroom and testing the drains for presence of blood, and one thing that stuck out to me was that there were no hand prints in the sink or bathtub. I will have to go back and see who testified to that...does anyone else remember? It seems like...
So the jurors requested the same list of stuff, including luggage inventory, in the first trial?
I'm really surprised the DT didn't jump all over that.
My conclusion is that Gracie didn't interact with JY at all.
The person Gracie interacted with doesn't fit what we know of JY's personality/behavior from testimony, so I have doubts that she interacted with Jason Young when there is nothing else to corroborate her testimony.
Right, but why would he have lashed out at Gracie? That's not his normal behavior and could be explained as him being wound up because he had just committed a murder and was not in his normal state of mind. He wasn't known for lashing out at strangers like that.
If he were a sociopath I don't...
I've just read books, I'm no expert though, but from what I gather since sociopaths have little/no remorse, JY would either not be so wound up that he lashed out at Gracie - since he doesn't have a history of screaming at strangers like that - or he would get very angry and kill her. I don't...
If JY were really a sociopathic killer, and was indeed at the gas station that morning, I think he either would have been cool as a cucumber and not lost his cool with Gracie, or I think he would have found an opportunity to kill her too. Maybe waited for the other customers to leave or lure her...
I think so, but here I don't think it means much because he was looking at a grainy photo where the shoes can barely be made out.
I think prosecution asked a couple other questions about square toe/other attributes and had him confirm those, which made the shoe "consistent with" the same...
The hush puppy witness who said they shoes in the pic are "consistent with" hush puppy orbitals was in CYA mode. He wasn't going to use more direct language because he couldn't be sure they were indeed hush puppy orbitals or the HPs in question.
What shoes did JY say he was wearing? Was he...
I'm one of the NG nellies...the reason why I'm not convinced by the hush puppy shoes is that imo they don't put JY at the crime scene, just possibly his shoes, and other than that there is no evidence of him leaving the hotel grounds that night. If there was evidence that JY specifically...
I've listed 3, but they're not my opinion of what makes JY look guilty, rather what I think the jury could use to decide he is guilty...and to be honest, I think it will all come down to the first one:
I think the jury could view the hush puppy shoes as the 'smoking gun' and decide based on...
Didn't JY speak with Meredith the night before while at Cracker Barrel anyway? Even if he didn't memorize or have her number in his phone, he could have written it down so he could call her and explain his side of the remote control incident.
If he wanted her number because he planned to call...
