We may never know why:
”Like most of the serial killers I have worked with and studied, Letby has been silent about what might have driven her to kill. In that respect she is like our worst British serial killer, Dr Harold Shipman, who also maintained his innocence and refused to accept any...
Tony Chambers is now blame the doctors; ”
‘However, Chambers appeared to blame senior doctors for failing to spot that two newborn boys had been poisoned with insulin in attacks on 5 August 2015 and eight months later on 9 April 2016.
In both cases, the results of blood tests were reported back...
My apologies if this was already but this floored me. From the UK times: “
“When doctors warned that she might be a killer, hospital bosses took her side — offering to support her with a master’s degree and find her a role at a top children’s hospital.”...
Yes, they can.
A Ministry of Justice spokesperson said on Friday: “The lord chancellor has been clear he wants victims to see justice delivered and for all those found guilty to hear society’s condemnation at their sentencing hearing. “Defendants can already be ordered by a judge to attend...
In case you are curious as well, on this page there’s a video of where Lucy will be staying About the prison
found the info about her likely prison here: What prison life will look like for Lucy Letby with no hope of parole
This bit is interesting too: “A handwritten note found after her arrest read: “My best friend. Love. I loved you and I think you knew that. I wanted you to stand by me but you didn’t.”
Seems it didn’t go past the flirtation stage… or at least they never discussed her feelings?
I actually think — based on nothing but my own opinion — that she won’t.
The thing about Lucy that bugged me is that she seems so defeated. I follow a lot of true crimes stories like so many of you, and the killers usually come across to me as cocky, feeling like they are the smartest in the...
I also found it interesting that Lucy told Dawn and her other friends who are sticking by her NOT to come to the trial. I wonder if they even realize that this may have been a tactic to keep them in the dark.
So interesting. She probably enjoyed all the attention she got the first times a baby passed away (naturally) and started harming them herself to get the same thrill. Sick.
This whole article made me furious! I‘m a legal counsel myself so I can imagine the discussions that went on. But then this final sentence: “Since Letby left the hospital's neonatal unit, there has been only one death in seven years.”
E—Management of the hospital should join Lucy in jail...
From Guardian: “The mother of twin boys, who walked in on Letby attacking one of her sons, bent over and sobbed as the nurse was found guilty of murdering one of her six-day-old babies and attempting to kill his brother the following day.”
My heart! I can’t read anymore of these news articles.
Well, I think a lot of the jurors may have summer vacation plans, so I expect a verdict early next week. They are going to want to sleep on their decision during the weekend.
