Hi NCEast,
Just to make it clear, I never knew JY. I have only lived in Brevard for a few years. My husband, his family, many of my coworkers, and friends are life long residents. That's how I've gotten my information about JY and his family.
I happen to be out of town today, but I have...

It's interesting that you wrote this.
The guy that I work with that went out occasionally with JY and their mutual friends told me the other day that one time they had gone to a bar/restaurant called Magnolia's in Asheville. When they were leaving, JY spotted two guys walking on the...
I'll step on out there with 70% chance of guilty and 30% chance of a hung jury. I think there is 0% chance of acquittal.
Let's see if I have to eat my words.
I agree. The two non-family members who knew him and testified for the defense said he was a manipulator and a horndog. When Ambrose came out with the description of JY as a manipulator, I bet the DT and JY were thinking, "We are screwed."
Speaking of SP, there was very limited evidence in that case. Just circumstantial. Why do you think the jury in that case had no trouble finding him guilty and giving him the DP?
Yes, and all on the same night that a security camera is tampered with twice at the hotel where JY was staying. How is even believable that these incidents are not related??

Yes. JY was calling Michelle to make sure no one was going to spend the night with her. He had to make sure she would be the only adult in the house for his plan to work.
The HP bother me, but the missing shirt is the smoking gun.
If the missing shirt cannot be reasonably explained (and it wasn't), then that is clear evidence that JY covered up the crime. WHERE IS THAT SHIRT???
It's like the PT said in closing, if JY's story was true that he testified to...
When JY's sister, Heather, testified, she said that she had gone on one of the visits with him to see CY while he was out on bond. She said that CY just lit up when she was around her father and played all over him.
This impressed me because it means that MF and LF obviously have not brought...
No snarkiness intended. Just an observation.
I would have to vote guilty based on the case presented or I would be troubled by it for the rest of my life.
When I served on a jury a dozen years ago, it was a murder trial with the DP on the table. When we got the case, the first thing someone said was how do we want to go about choosing a foreperson? A young woman jumped in and said, "I'll do it."
She wasn't someone we would've voted for, but...
