Were the girls asked if there was anyone else (i.e. family members) at the house that night? I think GBC may be answered honestly when he said he didn't leave the girls alone. Either he stayed with them while someone else took Alison, or vice versa.
I think he is also trying to make a connection with the jury. Many people remember where they were when they heard about Princess Di. He is trying to show he is "just like them", trying to be likeable.
I agree. They are giving the impression they were "comforted" by Allison's role in the business. It is almost as if they felt Gerard was a little of a 'loose cannon' and Allison was a stabiliser in the business and would keep him on track. Very different to the perception GBC's family have built...
I've never been convinced that GBC would have taken the risk of leaving the girls at the house alone. Just playing devils advocate. Have been trying to figure out how GBC called someone for help that night. The only person that can testify as to what Allison and Olivia talked about that night on...
I don't believe he threw her over the bridge. I believe he used one of the pathways down to the area and carried, then dragged her down there. This is why the jumper was pushed up over her head. The intention of course to make it look as if she had committed suicide.
I believe that GBC may have smothered her in bed. Remember the 000 call where he firstly mentioned "when we" went to bed, then changed it to I? Not a doctor, but am wondering if there is necessarily any blood when someone is smothered? If not, this may explain why there was no blood on the...
My memory might be wrong, but the house was an investment property actually beside the Dickies own home on the GC (that is how they found the house for sale initially).
Very early on I recall it mentioned that GBC had contacted Bruce Flegg to ask if the camera at the roundabout was operational. Cannot recall if this was rumour or fact, but if it did happen GBC must have had a concern regarding something recorded on that camera.
Apologies if this has already been replied to (catching up on past threads). I saw the Century 21 Sticker on the Prado after Allison was found, and before GBC was charged - GBC was driving it at the time.
As I understand from reading through the Threads, GBC was on his way to the Indooroopilly Police Station when he crashed his friends car. If he was on his way to the Station, the location of the crash makes no sense to me (it was not in the same direction of the Station). This has confused me...
Okay - sorry for confusing anyone re the Prado damage!!! I agree when looking at the photos posted that we should just go by what is shown (i.e. damage on the left). I must have been completely distracted at the time (was chatting on the phone) and could have sworn it was the same side as GBC...
To be honest I didn't specifically look as it happened quickly, however am sure I would have seen one of them had they been in the back. I could see GBC quite clearly. It saw the car just after 9.00am this morning and my immediate thought was that he had just taken the kids to school drop off...
I was talking on the phone this morning whilst in my car waiting to go into the shops. The roundabout was directly in front of me. As I was talking I noticed the Prado approach from Brookfield side of the roundabout. I could see no damage on the left hand side, only the right as it entered the...
The Prado in question is definitely damaged on the driver side (right hand side front corner of the car). I know this as I saw GBC driving the car on the Kenmore roundabout only this morning.
I posted earlier that I was bothered that the Kenmore/Moggill roundabout route was taken as opposed to the Rafting Ground Road way. However if we look at GBC as a suspect, I agree with Keyboredom. This I believe was due to him panicking. This is also the way he would have travelled into Taringa...
Regarding motive: it has been reported a number of times in the Courier Mail that GBC had been undergoing some financial stress. Could GBC have done something unlawful and ABC found out about it?
First time comment. I found it odd that whoever took Allison away from home would travel toward the roundabout then turn right at Moggill. If they had an intent to take her to the Anstead area, I would have thought they would have travelled the back way via Rafting Ground road. The Kenmore...
