Grifters gonna grift. Throughout the trial I tried very hard not to criticize the 's family--after all, we can't choose our family members--but this and other antics by them make me want to scream. I guess being trash can be genetic.

It's been so long since I've replied to a post by quoting some of it, I've forgotten how to do it--doh! Thank you Hope4More! I always appreciate your sharp analyses, and I'm glad you've gone down this rabbit hole. :) I wanted to especially agree with your bolded summation at the end of your...

No, no, no! Post on this thread--please! I really enjoy reading what you find and your thoughts on that. It really is instructive.

It's a laughably padded cv. I'm an academic and am regularly on hiring committees and such a cv as hers is far from impressive to a hiring committee. There are professionals who do have a lengthy cv--even twenty-eight pages long!--but such a resume always contains genuine examples of...

[/B] BBM: No, you're not. While I would be glad to know that sex didn't happen that day, I'm with you on seeing that it's entirely possible. I don't think that their sex that day was fueled by sexual desire--with either person--or that it was an addictive pattern. If sex happened that day...

BBM: Bingo! Raging narcissist that she is, of course she assumed that her attorneys were stupid and that she could single-handedly game the system. Narcissists typically regard such social norms as rules and laws as beneath them, and only for "little people"--not them. Hence the justice...

[/B] Exactly! The aleatory music promoted by Cage and his followers promoted the role of random sounds in their performances, but the unspoken assumption that you nicely expose here was that only the "right kind" of random sound was allowed. I really enjoy experimental art, but when it starts...

Was that a John Cage concert? BTW, I know I'm a geezer too because: my first LP purchase was a Beatles 45rpm; my first boyfriend's car had an 8-track player (he was a Grand Funk Railway fan); and, a few years ago, as I was walking past my son's bedroom, I heard him playing some Moody Blues...

Because I don't live in a large city, I do most of my shopping through catalogues and on-line. For Princess Beano's book drive, I'm thinking of sending along all my catalogues for clothing, shoes and handbags, cosmetics, and even gardening. And all well-thumbed, of course, with all of the...

Or Crime and Punishment. (And I doubt Beano Arias would be much in to Russian novels.) ;)

When I first joined WS I had to use my son's busted laptop--which, hilariously to other WSers, lacked a functioning w key--because he had stepped on it and broken it. As a good mom, I gave him my laptop and made do with his broken one after I bought him a new one. Then he busted that lap top...

My son is doing an honours degree in that major and sometimes I suspect he's aiming for a summa *advertiser censored* laude. :)

Here's my two bits worth: that stain looks to me like it might be a spill from a dropped narrow-necked bottle of something dark--maybe Coke, iced coffee, or chocolate milk. The narrow part of the stain indicates where the bottle hit the floor. Given that TA was a Mormon and avoided caffeine...

Oh Jodi, give it up. Every time you try to act like a saint, the mask slips and the real Jodi speaks.

She's a SparkNotes kind of student. She showed no interest in anything that wasn't about her, or connected to her, or couldn't be used for her benefit. I truly doubt she ever read a book to learn anything beyond her narrow scope or read something simply for the pleasure of reading.

She mastered the mundane? Really?? "Mundane" is one word that aptly describes her; unfortunately, so does "psychopath." She's the embodiment of the collision of the two, and responsible for all the wreckage that caused.

Nope, not an ounce of self-awareness in her. In someone else I'd might find such an "affirmation" sad or even pathetic, but her--no way.

Those six bolded and underlined words--"to get what I want"--are the sum of her universe. And in her other entries, the ones about puppies and kittens and mom and hot chocolate and so on, the slathered on "sweetness" couldn't sugar coat the ugly narcissism beneath.
