Angelica and her grandmother, Portia Washington, disappeared together on June 10, 2006. Kenneth Andrew Lynch, Portia's live-in boyfriend, went missing with them, as did her vehicle.
Several days later, Lynch was cited for speeding in El Paso, Texas. He was alone. Around that time, he withdrew all of his money from his bank account. In August 2006, he was arrested in Seattle, Washington while trying to get into Canada on a bus.
Lynch has refused to cooperate in the investigation. In September 2006, authorities announced that they believed the two were murdered. In June 2008, Lynch was charged with both murders. He is awaiting trial. Angelica and Portia are still missing.
