Knight admitted stabbing Andie Gasper to the death in 1994. The admission was part of a plea deal in which he also implicated Gasper’s wife, Cheryl. Knight claimed he and Cheryl Gasper, who had a $100,000 insurance policy on her husband, were having an affair and that she solicited him to kill her husband. Cheryl Gasper eventually pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and is serving 18 years to life in prison...

The agreement authorizing the reduced sentence ends Knight’s legal challenge and returns him to federal prison to serve nine more years.
