Hae Park (Denver Police Department)

Authorities are looking for the body of a man, who they believe to be a homicide victim, in several Colorado locations including in the Colorado River near Glenwood Springs.

On April 5, Denver Police Department homicide detectives began investigating the disappearance of Hae C. Park, 65, along with the Adams County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office had been looking for Park who was last seen by his family on March 27.

As part of the missing person investigation, police found a "probable" crime scene at an office at 10200 E. Girard Ave., police said.

Rhee is scheduled to enter a plea in district court Sept. 30 in the disappearance of Hae C. Park, whose family last saw him March 27. Police say they have found evidence indicating Park died at Rhee's office.

Authorities suspect Park's body may have been dumped in the Colorado River east of Glenwood Springs, but they haven't found it yet.

Grand County unraveling mystery of bones found along I-70

In mid-April, a group of travelers stopped along the interstate near Cisco to walk their dog. The found human remains in a wash on the south side of the freeway, White said. The motorists took a bone fragment to Montrose, Colo., and police there. Those officers contacted White’s office, he said.

Grand County investigators searched the area and found more skeletal remains. White said they have been unable to identify the remains or determine how the person died. The state medical examiner has taken the remains, and detectives are waiting for a report.

Oh, dear! This is something I was afraid of, in Susan's case.

The reason bones could end up in Montrose, is the people who found them, on a trip of several hundred miles, stopped out of necessity and thought they handled the whole thing really well, considering the area is very barren and they maybe wouldn't even be certain they were human bones.

This could absolutely fit with the Susan Powell story, which I've been bothered by and paid close attention to for all this time. IMO

The article doesn't say which way they were traveling so I find it odd that they took it to Montrose, CO. They would have had to of gone right thru Grand Junction on the way to Montrose. Cisco is a little over an hour away and nothing there. If they were headed west it would have been Green River.

My first thought was Paige Birgfeld. I know there was another search done, recently in GJ near where her car was found.

There is another young man from the GJ area, Shane Turner, that is also missing. Not sure if there is info on him here or not, I haven't looked. I was reminded of him in March when I was back in GJ (my husband is from there and we used to live there for many years and still have family there and business interests). A sis-in-law of mine had met his mother in March and was telling me about it.

Not sure how old the bones are but there is also Roger Ellison, missing from Cedaredge.

Utah bones may end Denver murder mystery

Park said the bones are those of his father, Hae C. Park, a Denver man who is believed to have been beaten to death by his business partner in Denver last year, and his body dumped along Interstate 70 near Cisco.

“All I think about is him every day,” the soft-spoken Jung Park said. “We’re just glad he’s found.”

Hae C. Park was 64 years old when he went missing in March 2010. Grand County investigator Brent Pace said he is still waiting for results of a DNA test to definitively prove the remains are Park’s, but an anthropologist has said the remains belonged to an Asian man over the age of 50, and a recovered jawbone had unique dental work that matched Park’s.

“The chances of another Korean having that exact dental work in his lower jaw is pretty rare,” Pace said.
