Falling out with her boyfriend, huh? Here we go AGAIN.

As usual, the reporting is terrible...says she was last seen on First Street..but does not say who saw her...if the boyfriend that has one meaning, if someone else, may mean something else...would love to read just one of these stories where things were written clearly...

This doesn't look good at all. Ashley didn't have a car and had to be dropped off at the location to meet with her boyfriend. They were fighting, but she went to talk to him before leaving for NY. She was never seen again. Obviously, if she was supposed to leave to go back to her house, pack her bags, and get to NY, she would need transportation. The easiest explaination is that the boyfriend was supposed to drive her. The second easiest explaination is that the boyfriend saw her leave with ___??? If he can't say who she left with, and if he's not saying she got a ride with him, obviously, his story is going to fall apart. Sad for her family and her precious daughter! http://www.timesunion.com/ASPStories/Story.asp?StoryID=932484&Category=REGION&LinkFrom=RSS

Please don't let this head where I'm afraid it will. "After a falling out with her boyfriend"...sounds all too familiar in so many cases.

Carroll, who doesn't have a car, got a ride to Albany on that Thursday and was dropped off on Quail Street, the relative said. She was last seen in a neighborhood her boyfriend frequents, the family member said.
Carroll intended to meet with McLean and then return to her apartment, pack a bag and go to New York City to spend a few days with a friend, her relative said. She told her family she would be back on May 9, Mother's Day. She left her daughter with a friend who was to baby-sit for the weekend, the relative said. Police have said the friend in New York has not seen her, and there is no indication she ever traveled there. "We don't think she ever made it back home" from Albany, the relative said. "The clothes she was wearing weren't at her home, and her jewelry was all there, and she would have taken her jewelry with her to New York."

Haven't seen anything about this on the local news :waitasec:

This is the first I'm hearing of it. I'm about to look through some articles. Have they said where she was last seen more specifically than just Albany?

Thanks.

Ashley Marie Carroll, who was living with her 1-year-old daughter, Arionnah, in a Troy apartment, was reported missing by her mother in Rensselaer. Carroll had lived with her mother for a time before moving to Troy, a family member said. Carroll was last seen in the area of First Street in Albany, where she had gone May 6 in an attempt to meet up with a boyfriend with whom she was feuding, said the family member, who asked to remain anonymous.

From her FB page:
Someone posts that she was seen on Quail St, Albany. Cell not used.
But pings from towers show cell last used in same area, Tivoly Lakes area.
This poster states that Ashley lives in Renss.

Albany is not the safest place, I fear for her.

From past experience here, what little is known from the early reports is not at all encouraging.

Let's hope this one is an exception to what is a sadly familiar pattern.

Family doubts missing woman went to NYC
May 19, 2010 at 8:30 am

Ashley Marie Carroll disappeared 12 weeks ago and relatives are starting a Facebook page hoping it will generate tips about her.

Family members are dubious about the assertion the woman went to New York City.

“We don’t think she ever made it back home” from Albany, a relative who asked to remain anonymous told Staff writer Carol DeMare. “The clothes she was wearing weren’t at her home, and her jewelry was all there, and she would have taken her jewelry with her to New York.”

"We're sick," says Courtney Deaton, a family friend. "We want her home so bad. We just want her home. Please, anybody, if you've seen her, please please call us."

Deaton was the last one to see Ashley; she dropped her off at the corner of Quail and First Streets in Albany on May 6.

"I thought she was safe," cries Courtney.

Ashley had had a fight with her boyfriend and was planning to spend the weekend in New York City with friends.

"I believe she never made it out of Albany," said Margaret.

Rensselaer Police say Ashley's boyfriend is not a suspect.

"There've been some unconfirmed sightings of her in Albany over the weekend," says Rensselaer Police Sgt. Tony Nagengast. "Our detectives are working with Albany PD, following up on those leads."

Ashley Carroll's mother stood with her family around her pleading for the public's help Wednesday to find her daughter.
The 24-year-old was last seen in the area of First and Quail Streets in Albany.
The family passed out flyers with Ashley's picture on them and posted them all over.
Records show Carroll, who lives in Troy, hasn't used her phone at all, over the past 13 days.
A friend had dropped her off in Albany May 6. Carroll told that friend she was going to meet someone before heading to New York City for a weekend trip. No one knows who.
Carroll's friend Courtney Deaton was the last known person to speak with her.
"She had an argument with her boyfriend and wanted to go to New York for Mother's Day weekend and asked me to watch baby and that's the last we've heard from her," Deaton said.
Ashley's baby, now almost 2 years old, is the reason family and friends say Carroll would never leave indefinitely without contacting someone and checking on her child.

I wonder if they are looking for local volunteer help. Has anyone seen any notes about this?

This is the first I have heard. I will be keeping my eyes out when I am working that direction.
