DETROIT - A Detroit family is worried for their little girl. The toddler was allegedly taken by her mother, who does not have legal custody. The family is praying for the best, but fearing the worst. That is why they reached out to Detroit Police and FOX 2 News.

Detroit (WWJ) -- Detroit Police have issued an alert for a missing two-year-old girl. Nevaeh Merriewether was last seen at her home on Abington in Detroit on Saturday morning. She was reportedly taken, without permission, by her mother, 29-year old Che Massey.

Detroit -- Police are looking for a mother who took her daughter without permission last Saturday.

I sent an email to MissingChildren@detroitmi.gov to see if Neveah has been located. I found her mother on facebook and noticed that she is listed as friends with her sister who is the legal guardian of Neveah. There was no information about Neveah on the mother's wall, the aunt's wall is private. Last (dated) activity on the mother's account was October 2011.

Hopefully I will hear something about Neveah soon. I believe that she has been found but haven't been able to find any media supporting that. She is not listed on Detroit's missing children list.
