I like that they mention getting a pound animal instead of buying from a pet shop/breeder!

Great article, thanks for posting. I'm always looking for ways to cut down expenses. I followed some links from that article and looked into ways to cut household cleaning & laundry expenses too !
 
I know I should do it more, but I only have a few 2nd hand books, usually old out-of-print that I found. But I just love buying new books. I know I have way too many, but sorting through them and getting rid of some of them for charity shops sometimes feels like cutting off an arm.
