They have negotiated a deal to lower their mortgage payments.

“Saving the home that Caylee grew up in is the single best piece of news they've had in well over two years,” said Conway.

That annoys me. Caylee wasn't allowed to grow up. She was hardly more than a baby when her life was brutally robbed from her.

By the time they finish paying this thing off they could have bought a million dollar home with all the interest they would have forked out by continuously extending the loan, and borrowing against it.

I'm surprised. Most responsible people negotiate to lower payments before they fall so behind. I don't begrudge them though. I wouldn't wish anyone to lose their house, well, except KC if she had one.

"Conway said the home is the last tangible link to their granddaughter, who went missing on June 16, 2008 when she was 2 years old. Her body was found in December of 2008."

The last tangible links to their granddaughter are either being worn in the jewelery they sport, or are biding time in the evidence lockers. IMO IMO IMO

excerpt:
"Even after two years, people still drive by at all hours and even pull into the Hopespring Drive home’s driveway, Conway told WESH 2.
“The house is still an attraction for people with morbid curiosity,” he said."

IMO Conway makes it sound like the house is a TOURIST ATTRACTION with hopes for future $$$$$$$$$ for people to come see it, like Graceland or something.

DISGUSTING!

Cindy said she can hardly bear to go into Casey or Caylee's bedrooms any more -- I hope Caylee's spirit haunts them every day!

pg 109 - "I used to take refuge in your room as well as Caylees but its almost too unbearable to go into either room now. My heart is aching every minute."

Cindy wanted to divorce George until she found out that if she sold the house, she would have to give him half the money from the sale. She did not want the house, and did not want George. IMO she will work out some kind of legal contract where she can finally sell the house and not have to share the $$$ with George. Maybe if all the evidence of his alleged affairs and "escort" dates comes out - Cindy will have more leverage in a divorce proceeding???

I have to say I still find it stunning, I have never in my life witnessed a family of a victim, even when that family is also the family of the accused, attract such anger! Even the Van Der Sloots and the Peterson's didn't quite evoke the same level of fury as the Anthony's have. Although, they most certainly invited it with their behaviour towards Casey's innocent friends and the volunteer associations like TES who flocked to their aid.

I can't speak for why the A's specifically waited to renegotiate.....but I can tell you that most banks WILL NOT even entertain the idea of a mortgage modification UNTIL AFTER you fall behind.

An easy way to look at it is this.

A bank will almost always lose money in a foreclosure AND will incur legal fees, lost interest revenue, etc........in a modification. Common sense would tell us that they would prefer to modify than foreclose.....but if payments are being made as required......how do they know that the borrower is not just trying to get ahead???

Sadly....most lenders will not even discuss modification UNTIL you have fallen 90 days behind.

well Praise the Lord and pass the chili, George and Cindy skate through again.

In my neighborhood familys who both work are losing their houses even though they've busted tush to try to keep them, thank goodness people like the Anthonys can keep their's
...after all isn't it all about the poor poor Anthonys and their tales of woe?

my name is Tia and I'm a sarcasm-a-holic but the only Anthony who breaks my heart is the little one who won't be playing with her toys anymore.

As long as they stay as far away from Fort Myers (where George's parents live and I live), I'm happy.

I just can't imagine living in that house?

How much is their house payments now...$300? Wasn't their monthly payment around $700? That is nothing in this day and age. You couldn't come near to renting a three bedroom home for $700!

I don't understand how they could afford that cruise...George and Cindy...Lee and Mallory. They couldn't pay their house payment but they could afford to take four people total on a cruise. I suppose Caylee's blood money paid for that. I think they let the payments on the house go knowing that the bank would help them out and lower their payments because of the Caylee card.

I hope it works out for them, to be honest. I am sure they were terrified as to what would happen if they sold it or allowed it to be auctioned.....at least I hope that was their motivation.

I know this isn't the popular opinion, but I'm glad they are going to be able to keep their house. G&C aren't sympathetic people, but they have lost EVERYTHING, and to be out on the street with no place to sleep at night just seems too cruel. I would think that keeping the house is a pyrrhic victory as I'm sure the memories of little Caylee will never leave the house, but at least they have a place to stay. And although they may have parented so badly that they created the monster we call ICA, I'm sure they never intended to do so. Just think about the horrible way their lives have changed over the past 2 yrs, and LOOK at Cindy on the stand. She looks like she has aged 20 yrs. No matter what they did to create ICA, they didn't murder Caylee. So I'm glad they at least don't have to worry about not having a home. JMHO.

How about Cindy's new wardrobe & jewelry. I suppose the cruise and CA's appearance take precedence over the mortgage. The A's don't have an excuse for falling behind on their payments, IMO.

I'm glad they wont be in the street for all our safety. I feel pizzed off that they are exhibiting the same careless freeloading behavior that their daughter displays and it works for them, all of them. They will be sitting in their house while otheres who are trying desperately to save their homes, keep their jobs and raise families wont be able to. Please Karma kick some serious azz as soon as you can so I can keep the faith its real. IMO

That's the Anthony way. Live beyond their means then default. They have been doing it for years.

She should ask for her money back. Whoever sold her that horrid black & white moo-moo she loves to wear is enjoying a private joke, IMO.

I just don't understand how ANY mortgage could be re-negotiated based on their total lack of regular income. Aren't they both still not working? I suppose I could be wrong . . .
I think George may be working...but you're right. I heard that banks now have to be more stringent and determine that homeowners can actually afford their loans. Wonder what they showed them to prove income.

She's obviously not working. Her disability policy through her employers will end after 2 years, so she will have to con the SSI people or find a job....
Don't know what GA is doing - he could get a job as a long distance truck driver, there are tons of jobs going....

Caylee's death certificate, their contract with ABC, and, some book company, and, last but not least, their new cancelled checks from the surely revamped Caylee Marie Foundation, and a Caylee Bear to seal the deal.

Cruel? Not cruel, just the predictable consequence of not paying your debts.
While at the same time going on vacation... and having tattoos.
What happened to all their ABC Interview money?
The new Cindy we saw on the stand is a totally contrived frumpy, bereaved Granny look- what happened to the screaming Cindy, or the Cindy who threatened TM on the phone, or the combative Cindy with hair and make up carefully done before the Morgan depo?
