Baez Faces Foreclosure On Home

In a foreclosure complaint, Baez's creditor, U.S. Bank, claimed, "the installment which became due on the note and mortgage on Sept. 1, 2009, and each payment thereafter have not been paid."

In the mortgage he signed, Baez financed $601,000. He agreed to pay $4,500 a month plus interest. In the foreclosure complaint filed in May, he owed $655,000.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- As Casey Anthony prepares for her upcoming death penalty trial on first-degree murder charges, a mental health expert has begun examining the 24-year-old.

A psychologist who specializes in traumatic events has been visiting Anthony in the Orange County Jail.

Defense attorney Jose Baez said attorneys must explore potential mental health issues in any death penalty case.

The Osceola County home of Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez is in foreclosure proceedings in court, the now well-known defense attorney confirmed this afternoon.

When asked about the foreclosure case, Baez said, "I think it's personal."

"It has nothing to do with my case, my business and anything that has to do with Casey Anthony," he said. "I'll probably keep the house, even though it's worth half of what I owe."
