I remember this case from when I lived in Santa Fe, and often wondered what became of her disappearance.

I do remember in the 11 yrs that I lived there a couple of sets (partial) of human remains were found between Santa Fe and Pecos, and if my memory serves me correct I believe the remains were female.

Michelle Quintana – The Charley Project

Police have a suspect in Quintana's disappearance, a cocaine dealer who knew her. It was his pager she was carrying that went off the night of her disappearance. Quintana and the dealer were allegedly involved in a $5,000 cocaine transaction. Her husband said $6,000 went missing from the family's safe when she vanished.

The dealer, when questioned, said Quintana did have cocaine debts. He denied having paged her and said he didn't know her whereabouts. The dealer and Quintana's husband were both imprisoned on drug charges in the years after her disappearance.

This is another case where drugs disappear to someone ... until when? drugs should never have existed

Possible UID Matches

NamUs #UP10704: Partial skeletal remains of a female around 20-30 years of age were discovered by a hunter about 90 yards north of the freeway at mile post 150.1 west of Williams, AZ on November 14, 1991. Estimated year of death is 1989. The location where the remains were found is roughly a 6-7 hour drive from Santa Fe.

NamUs #UP13186: Partial skeletal remains of a 17-22 year old female were recovered in an arroyo near the Ideal Cement Plant in Tijeras, NM on September 9, 1988. The ME estimated the remains had been there for around 2 years. IMO, this UID is the most compelling possibility for Michelle Quintana because the age and PMI are aligned. The location of the remains is also only an hours drive from where Quintana was last seen.

Thoughts?

I think both seem like possibilities, but rule-outs should be checked before submitting. I would assume LE has considered her for the UID in Tijeras...
