Here's a new DoeNet case, just added today.

The Doe Network:
Case File 1492UMOK http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1492umok.html
NamUs UP Case 7244 https://identifyus.org/cases/7244

Reconstruction of Victim

Unidentified White Male

* The victim was discovered on December 30, 1994 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma
* Estimated Date of Death: 9 months prior
* Skull only

Vital Statistics

* Estimated age: 10-18 years old
* Approximate Height and Weight: Cannot Estimate.
* Dentals: Available. Mandible not recovered.

Case History
Skeletal recovery on rural property in Ardmore. Thought to be young male under 18.

Oddly enough, the NamUs rule-out list consists of three females

Here are three possibles that I came up with:

Thomas Billy Lee Tillery

* Went missing only 25 miles from where remains were found.
* DLC is a just over three months prior to discovery date.
* Has protruding front teeth, but they don't appear to be gapped like the UID.

Nicholas Patrick Barclay

* Good resemblance from mouth up (since mandible is missing, UID's chin is a guess).
* Distinguishing Characteristics indicate Nicholas had a gap between his teeth.

Charles Arlen Leon Henderson

* Good resemblance from mouth up.
* Gapped teeth similar (though not spot-on) to UID reconstruction.

NamUs lists three missing girls from Oklahoma (on the rule-out list for this case of a missing male), and only one of them (Monique Daniels) is listed in NamUs, DoeNet, NCMEC, or Charley.

I found that the second one, Roxie "Mosure" is really Roxie Moser of Tulsa. From what I can gather, she is still missing, but she is not listed anywhere. I am wondering if there is some way we can find a photo of her and get her listed in the MP sites.

I see nothing on Chandra Thompson either.

The resemblance with Nicholas is very strong -- and he smiles like a kid who is embarrassed to show his teeth.

This really bothers me. How can they have a skull since '94 of a child between the ages of 10 and 18 and not have compared this with every child missing in that year. It has been 16 years. I believe that this child greatly favors Charles Henderson in the teeth.

Just because the names aren't listed in the rule-outs doesn't mean they weren't compared. It seems like record-keeping is, er, somewhat spotty for older cases...

According to NamUs, the victim has been identified as Tomas Billy Lee Tillery.

Here's his Charley Project page, placed here so that it will still be available after Charley Project closes the casefile.

Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance

Missing Since: September 19, 1994 from Madill, Oklahoma
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: June 1, 1983
Age: 11 years old
Height and Weight: 4'6, 100 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Brown hair, green eyes. Tillery has a scar on his forehead and a small skin tag on his lower right ear. He goes by his middle name, Billy.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A red- and blue-striped t-shirt.

Details of Disappearance

Tillery was last seen leaving his family's residence in Madill, Oklahoma on September 19, 1994. He was planning to walk to a grocery store located approximately two and a half blocks from his home to purchase a gallon of milk. Tillery has never been heard from again. There was a tip that he may be living under an assumed name in San Antonio, Texas, but he has not been located there or anywhere else. His case remains unsolved.

When I first saw this reconstruction Thomas Tillery was my immediate response. It makes me wonder how they would not have checked this before, given the proximity in time and location of his disappearance. You'd think a young boy's skull showing up 25 miles and three months from where a young boy disappeared that they would immediately check that match. I suppose it's possible they didn't have mtDNA to compare it to before now, but still....

It appears that until recently, they thought the skull was of a female child, and DNA testing revealed that it was male. The first three rule-outs in NamUs were girls.

Here's a news article about the resolution of this case:

Medical Examiner Solves 16-Year-Old Mystery
Human Remains From 1994 Identified As Missing Boy

OKLAHOMA CITY --

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office identified human remains that were discovered in 1994 as those of a boy who went missing that year.

The office said the remains were found in Dickson on Dec. 30, 1994.

Attempts from a pathologist who examined portions of a skull, some skin and hairs failed to identify the boy at the time.

...

forensic artist completed a facial reconstruction which was compared to a poster from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators said the reconstruction looked very similar to a missing Oklahoma boy named Thomas Billy Lee Tillery.
