PINCKNEYVILLE - A juvenile arrested in connection with the murder of a Pinckneyville teen will be tried in adult court.

Robert Mueller, 15, of Pinckneyville, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for his alleged role in the death of Sidnee Stephens, 15.

Stephens had been missing nine days when her body was discovered July 25 in Beaucoup Creek south of Pinckneyville. She had been shot and strangled, according to authorities.

Mueller's case was transferred to adult court Monday, Perry County Sheriff Keith Kellerman said. Mueller, who is being held without bond, was taken to Perry County Jail where because of his age, he will be kept separate from the general population, Kel-lerman said.

I hope all of those responsible are imprisoned for life...there is no rehab for people who would kill in this way...

Pinckneyville Teen Accused of Murder Pleads Not Guilty

The entourage of Sidnee's family and friends were given time to go home and change before Dane's arraignment.
Judge Campanella will no longer allow them to wear T-shirts or buttons that have Sidnee's name or picture on them in court.

So why would the judge do this? I don't think that is right.

His appointed attorney Brian Trentman says the case against Dane is so big, he can't do it alone.
A second attorney will be appointed to help.

Investigators say they've compiled 13 CD's worth of evidence that show Carl Dane, James Glazier and Robbie Mueller shot, strangled and dumped Sidnee Stephen’s body into the Beaucoup creek in July.

Sounds like they have alot on these kids. Also Dane is getting 2 attorneys?? He is only one that can get the death penalty. ** Also read comments on article **

I noticed in all the articles linked there so far there is no motive given for this young lady's murder.

Wow, I don't think I've heard of this in other cases. I don't think that's right either.

I didn't see any comments section on this article...am I missing something?

And what on earth went so very wrong that THREE teenage boys would want to murder a young girl like this?? I can't even fathom the motive here.

I have heard of it before a number of times. It is to keep the jury from being unduly prejudiced by the family. I have no opinion on whether it's right or wrong, but I understand the reason it is done.

Indeed, the judge just wants to make sure that the jury pool isn't tainted since it's a small community and that the jury comes back having reached their decision based on a detached analysis of the evidence presented and not simply on emotion and sympathy for the victime or the families. It makes for less appealable issues I think. It's a BIG trial for the area and he doesn't want to leave a legacy of mistakes.

She looks like such a young vibrant girl. So sad and senseless.

Big hairy perp looks scarey and younger ginger perp has some weird eyes, in the picture they look black. So I will be curious to find out what these boys were into.

Sister of murdered teen released to home confinement after arrest

http://www.kfvs.com/Global/story.asp?S=13191249

The sister of a murder teen arrested last week had her bond reduced and has been released into the custody of her grandparents.

Dakota Wall, 18, is charged with obstructing justice in the death of her 15-year-old sister Sidnee Stephens.

Her bail was lowered from $50,000 to $25,000. She is required to wear a GPS ankle bracelet and stay on home confinement with her paternal grandparents.

I know someone already asked this but I, too, am wondering about motive. Has anything at all been mentioned about motive for this poor girl's murder?
