•Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Black or brown hair; brown or hazel eyes. Medium complexion. Standifer wears glasses with wire frames. Small gap in upper teeth. May have a ponytail, beard, mustache, or goatee; previously fractured jaw.
•Tattoos: Tattoo of a "spider web" on both elbows; tattoo of a "scorpion" on outer right forearm.
•Clothing: Light blue t-shirt; blue cut-off shorts; white socks; white Converse athletic shoes. Gold watch.

Help Wanted in 17 Year Missing Persons Case


IMPD is asking for help in a 17 year old missing persons case. Daniel Standifer disappeared from the area of the Stone Mug at 65th and College on September 23, 1994.

Detectives investigated several leads soon after he was reported missing including a bloody sheet found in a Jeep, but DNA samples were inconclusive. He was shooting pool at the bar on that night when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was given away which family members feel could jog someone's memory who was at the bar that night

Daniel has been missing for 21 years now. The last story I could find on him is from two years ago.

On Sept. 26, 1994, Daniel Daryl Standifer was hanging out at the Stone Mug Cafe, a Broad Ripple tavern that has since closed. He had been playing pool, and he likely had been drinking.

His family hoped he would make it that Friday to his brother’s birthday celebration; Danny, as they called him, had said something about trying to get a ride, as he had no car.

He was last seen about 6 p.m. near the Stone Mug. He never made it to his brother’s party, he never called his family and there has been no trace of him since.

Standifer’s mother, Gloriana, is in failing health. She yearns to know what happened to her son. Two of his sisters, Sherry and Teresa, say their mother needs to know to have any peace. She keeps her son’s photos displayed in her modest Indianapolis home and has an enormous scrapbook dedicated to him.

Standifer, who had been married twice, had two daughters and two sons. Both sons are incarcerated, one for a murder and the other for robbery. It pains Gloriana Standifer and her daughters, but they suspect one or both boys know what happened to their father — but they won’t talk.

I wonder if they have looked at Herb Baumeister for this. I think they still have several unidentified victims.

I was looking at all of the YouTube videos on Herbert Baumeister
And the creepy house that he lived in at a Fox Hollow Farm
And thought that HB might be involved in this mans disappearance. Herb met most of his victims in bars. His build looks like one of Herbs victims.
