Bumping. What a handsome young man. Jarrod would have turned 40 y/o in a few days.

A girl that went to my church was abducted and killed at the searcy Walmart parking lot in the mid 90's. her name was Karla Willmon. Searcy is a small safe town and I think these could be related

Bullshark, Aside from the city, there doesn't seem be many other commonalities. KM's killers were identified and prosecuted.

In J's case (4 years prior) his car was abandoned there by the looks of it. The two men who abducted KM were drug addicts on a mission to sexually assault a woman. They chose Walmart as the place to plan, locate, abduct, rape and kill that day. It was their staging ground.

If I'm missing the point, please clarify why you feel these seemingly unrelated crimes were connected to one another.

Respectfully -
PQ

Could it have been over money or drug-related as they suspect that in Jarrod's case?

His car was found at Searcy WalMart, drugs were a possible factor, this is a town with a very small major crime rate. There is a huge prestigious Christian university in the town. I know there aren't many commonalities but with WalMart parking lot being in the picture and the crime that happened to KM that started in the WalMart parking lot makes me think. The perps in the KW could have very possibly been involved in murder before. You don't just wake up and abduct, rape, murder, dismember, and burn someone.

wasn't the KW case where they found her in the trunk of a car in beebe off the exit ramp or is that a different case. I live in Beebe, so I have kept up with the White County case's. If I have read correctly they have looked into this possibly drug related but with lack of suspects, etc its been difficult. Is anyone familiar with Robert Lee Webb who disappeared from Searcy not longer after Jarrod

Details contained in a police affidavit filed in the case indicate there may have been one other related death in addition to a suicide since Jarrod Green left his home to settle a drug debt Sept. 30, 1994, and disappeared.

Brandon Wheeler, 41, of Weatherford, Texas, was charged with capital murder and abuse of a corpse in the death of Green, who was 20 when his father reported him missing days later.

Lee said Green graduated from Searcy High School in 1993. She declined to say whether authorities have found his remains, though the affidavit refers to a December 2016 search using cadaver dogs at a site in rural White County.

Wheeler and Green knew each other, Lee said.

"The case has never been closed," Lee said in an interview.

She said new leads that she could not disclose had led to the arrest.

"We're just glad to be giving the Green family a little bit of closure," Lee said.
About 10 months after Green disappeared, Wheeler's roommate and "best friend" was reported missing by his mother.

"An investigator reported during this time, [that this] individual was bragging he was a part of the disappearance of Jarrod Green, just before his own disappearance," the affidavit said.

Then on Dec. 31, 2000, "another close friend and roommate" of Wheeler committed suicide, the affidavit said. It said this person also had been good friends with Green.

Before killing himself, the person "gave disclosure of two separate murders to his cousin who was also his pastor."

[h=3]Family awaits closure as cold case grows colder[/h]
SEARCY, AR (KAIT/KARK) - Last year, detectives in White County made an arrest in a decades-old cold case, but the family of Jarrod Green still has no closure.

“I have not had one joyful day in my life since he disappeared,” Sharon Green, Jarod’s mother said.

According to Little Rock NBC Affiliate KARK, Green said not a day has gone by that she does not think about her son.
Green went missing on September 30, 1994, when he was only 20-years-old. Details surrounding his disappearance are mostly pieced together from witness statements.

His body has never been found.

Details of Disappearance
Green received a phone call at his residence in Searcy, Arkansas on September 30, 1994. He agreed to meet an unidentified person at the local country club and left his house. He has never been heard from again. At the time of his disappearance he had indicated he was in trouble over something money-related, and perhaps drug-related.

His vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Searcy on October 3, 1994, three days after Green was last seen. The car's windows had been opened and Green's car keys were located underneath the driver's seat. There was no sign of him at the scene.

In May 2017, nearly twenty-three years after Green disappeared, Brandon L. Wheeler was charged with capital murder and abuse of a corpse in his case. The case was dropped in November 2017, however. The prosecution stated they needed additional evidence and they hoped they could refile the charge in the future.

Green graduated Searcy High School in 1993. Foul play is suspected in his case due to the circumstances involved.
