Tasha has been missing for 26 years. It's sad to see such a lack of information for her case. It seems like there was an initial investigation but nothing was found and nothing else has been revealed to the public. Tasha is one of the few missing children without an age-progression picture available. I think you need the family's permission to do one so maybe they just don't want one done for personal reasons. Perhaps a spotlight feature for her by the media would produce some tips that can help them solve the case.

Google Maps

The area she went missing

Apart from Ferguson Road which is big, it seems like a sleepy suburban area. Most people know each other and there are few houses. I suppose she didn't cross the Ferguson Road, the friends house was just close by so a stranger couldn't have abducted her. This was 10.30 AM. plenty of people must've been at work? someone lured her. the perp is just close by, this case should'e been solved them same day.

After doing some research, I am shocked to find the following cases in TX., around the time of Amber's abduction/murder.

Tasha Wright-Missing since '89-Dallas, Tx. -10 yrs.old.....Last seen walking to a friends house.

Jenna Robbins-Missing since '89-Killeen, Tx.-9 yrs. old...Last seen walking with a friend-offered ride from white male, 20's...she accepted, friend refused.

Kimberly Norwood-Missing since '89-Hallsville, Tx.-12 yrs. old...Last seen walking home.

Angelica Gandara-Missing since '89-Temple, Tx.-12 yrs. old...Last seen in a white pick-up with unknown white male & female.

Amber Hagerman-Missing since '96-Arlington, Tx.-9 yrs. old....Last seen in parking lot being shoved into black pick-up by male.

BBM-

All abductions in '89 (except Ambers)..all around the same age as Amber...all walking except Angelica (& Amber) and she may have accepted a ride. We also have a string of toddler cases, in TX. in the '80's-early 90's that fit a pattern IMO.

Ara Johnson-Missing since '86-Big Sandy, Tx.- 5 yrs. old...Last seen in her bedroom asleep.

Pam Mayfield-Missing since '85-Houston, Tx.-5 yrs. old...Last seen walking home from school with her brother Michael after school.

Megan Garner-Missing since '91-Tyler, Tx.-3 yrs. old....Last seen at a playground near her home.

Amber Crum-Missing since '83-Dallas, Tx.-2 yrs. old....Last seen in truck outside of convenient store.

Desiree Carroll-Missing since '83- Kosse, Tx.-2 yrs. old......Last seen near her home.

BBM-IMO- of course, these are only females...trying to find a pattern or MO of a perp. here.

I posted this on another thread a while back. IMO stranger abduction in this case is not impossible, many go missing close to home...sad there isn’t more to this case but alarming how close these abductions all are, most in northern TX, Dallas area.

Missing since Oct. 14, 1989
Dallas
Born: March 17, 1979
Age now: 43
Race: Black

Tasha was last seen wearing an aqua blue shirt, aqua blue shorts and brown slip on sandals. She walked to a neighbor’s apartment in the same complex she lived in and never returned.

She never left the building.... Someone in those hallways lured her or put her in an apartment. Unfortunately, with how young she was, she could have been put out in a trash can or a laundry basket right under other people's noses. They seemed to look more outward than inward. The cop knocks on the door, asks a few questions, and moves on.... If the person isn't giving off creepy vibes or talking to their spouse or roommate, there's no reason to dig deeper... Even if a cop walked in and looked around it, again it could be under dirty clothes. They are not going to search everything in every apartment, and no person, not even the innocent, will let them in. They could also have hidden it in a folding couch, box spring, recliner, etc. She never left the building alive...

I don't have enough information to know if the police made a mistake. This was before massive social media. She lived in a less desirable neighborhood, so maybe searching the streets made sense, they found her father, but what was her mother like? Or the friend who receives the message? Or her friends and family. Every group has that one person that everyone feels uncomfortable around. Or maybe they wrote him off as a black girl from a bad area and did minimal research. Lord knows that happens, but in this case, I simply don't have enough information to blame the authorities....
either way
